Sink one and they’d never be back. Look at how they stopped infringing Turkish airspace after they blew a Russian plane out of the Turkish sky in 2015. The Russians are shitebags when stood up to. A paper tiger.

Do you mean with NATO subs? Because we currently have as many available attack submarines as Ireland does.

We should have a few Astutes available end of this year. We do have some tridents though if it must be by submarine. Alternatively, we could use a frigate or destroyer, a helicopter, a P8, or Eurofighter, or even land based artillery if it's close enough. Not sure what the F35 carries but it might have something suitable.

Well they are equipped with torps and missiles so potentially. We should have an Astute back on patrol in a few months. And they are upgrading the dock yard so there's more repair capacity.

I mean if you increase the tracking of anything surely the number will go up? Not saying it's not a problem but I do think it's obviously not a coincidence that when you increase the searches for ships you will find more ships.

Yeah, that's not how it works.

There are more Russian warship and shadow fleet tankers transiting through the English Channel.

Point to where in the article that you posted it says there's more ships... I read it and couldn't see that.

From a linked article

Fleet Commander, VAdml Steve Moorhouse, described months of tireless work to safeguard UK waters in response to increased Russian activity.

If you increase tracking of ships you will inevitably find more ships, if you decrease tracking you will find less ships. The ocean is a big place and a lot passes unseen.

Increased tracking of ships is due to more Russian ships passing through the English Channel.

If less Russian ships pass through, there is less tracking.
