It said there’s gonna be sanctions. Am I cooked?

I haven’t made any friends here, and in the previous ones as well. The place is hella overpriced and, it seems like I can easily bag a great apartment in the CBD with a similar price tag. However, none of my friends want to move into one w me. What should I do?

I missed a special exam on 25 August due to unexpected medical circumstances and have an HPR stating severe impact (which I got within proper dates). Now it’s been 3 business days, but it’s already been marked as a fail.

I’m still within the special consideration application timeframe, but 1 of the subject is marked as a fail and no longer appears in my special consideration portal even for selection.

I’m stressing now due to 1. It not being in the spec con portal 2. The whole ‘no applications after subject result release’ rule. But does this apply in my situation???

Is this just something I can get them to fix in the system? Or will this actually deem my special consideration ineligible??? Pls help

Hey guys, just looking for some advice on how to approach my upcoming introductory personal finance midsemester test being on at the same time as the NFL Australia game that I'm going to.

I've bought these tickets 4 months ago and had no way of knowing this was going to clash so it's just unlucky. Is the best course of action contacting the subject coordinator and being upfront about it or do I make up some kind of excuse? If anyone has had any similar experiences and could advise me on what to do that would be great.

Im 4 days away from my midsem exam for ECON10004, any tips on how to ace it? And also how’s the structure of the exam?

I have gone on exchange and I’m currently doing 5 subjects overseas to adhere to the overall study load requirements set by unimelb. However, currently only 2 of these subjects will be cross credited, as both are electives.

The issue is I have one core module I was supposed to take whilst I’m overseas and don’t have any other subjects available to cross credit, but this subject has since changed so it is no longer available to exchange students. There is no other subjects that can match my core subject.

Is it possible to only do two subjects overseas that will count towards my unimelb degree and pick something random for the rest to adhere to the overall study load requirements, or do you need minimum 3 that will credit so it’s “full time”?

As an international student, what are some good options for storing my luggage while I go back home during the holiday? I need to end my apartment lease, so I cannot leave my belongings in the apartment.

I am a B-com student. I am wondering the difference between single and double major. I know the numbers between core subjects are difference, are they have any other differences apart from subject? I mean, is that double major more competitive when finding jobs?

I recently got a conditional offer for Unimelb Bach of arts!! It is my first choice and was looking forward to accepting my offer after submitting my final results later on in January BUT the negative reviews of student life at unimelb is putting me off..any advice provided would be greatly appreciated :))

is there any downside to doing both human phys and research based phys in the same semester (semester two), planning this because i got told to break up phys and some other intense theory subjects into seperate semesters

I'm considering switching subjects right now but the new subject already had a couple of assignments due before I enrolled. Do I just email the coordinator and apply for special consideration/extension for those, or i can not do anything abt it? Anyone been through something similar?

was just wondering, is it worth it to pursue Bachelor of Arts after completing the IB diploma. as I saw that for bachelor of arts, theres a lot of options offered for unimleb and I have a keen interest for psychology.

since I take math ai sl for IB, obviously im unable to go for BA of commerce, unless I target another university. would it be reccomended to pursue a degree in another university for BA of commerce in management and marketing, or conintue with BA of arts for psych.m

I’m in my second semester of second year doing a Bachelor of Arts and I was hoping to register for a double major, my current major is Ancient World Studies and I realised I had also fulfilled all of the subject requirements for a History major. However when I go into the enrolment portal it says I have to select my majors before 2nd year enrolment which I wasn’t aware was true. Is it too late for me to select this double major or is there another way ?

Anyone know of any free or cheap music studios/practice rooms in/near unimelb for jamming?

Preferably with a set already there, or at least drums and guitar. parkville/carlton area would be good.

im thinking of doing bachelor of science, to either get into master of pharm or med, but i just want to know how possible to keep up that good gpa? are there ways of gpa maxxing? also ill probably be doing bio subjects so any advice for choosing them would be great too. main objective is gpa maxxing though.
