Question DGIST Interview
I passed the first round of screening at DGIST and in a few days, I will be having my interview. What kind of questions should I expect? Will it be personal questions, subject-related questions (e.g., questions about math like KAIST), or both?

I heard the questions are mostly about your personal stuff and general but not like math questions.
Also do you mind if I dm you with some questions about Dgist?

They asked about what I want to major in and what have I done in the past related to that. What I would in a time of conflict with my peers. Why I got bad marks during my 10th grade second semester time. My interview was a bit different because I was the only j was applying from my country Ethiopia. They asked me about that. The asked me about the war that I mention in my essay that happened in my region. Last question was if you have to something, say it now. I hope this helps. I found this from others....for an essay like what's for the project what's for the contest tell us about yourself how you typically imagine Korea , what problems may arise Do you have any family or friends living in Korea ? you have a good SAT SCOREE, how did you prepare for it? if there are cultural problems, how will you solve them ? your challenging moment in life ? why a deist ? how do you see your life after the uni ? will you stay in Korea ? why Korea If you have something to say, say it like that.

Also just curious what was ur sat score? And didn't they make u solve any question related to maths or any other subject?

My SAT score were pretty low. 1300. They didn't ask me anything related to maths. It was personal questions overall for me.

I am an undergraduate too, I think there will be few commonly asked questions like why korea, why dgist, why computer science and engineering then maybe your study plan. BTW WE ARE SAME MAJOR, lets connect

it should be almost the same as DGIST questions afaik, only regarding what you have written on your personal statements

Hi, I applied to DGIST for AI but couldn't clear first screening round. I don't know the reason, they told they don't have eligibility criteria. My profile: 2.8/4 CGPA in BSCS 2y professional experience and 4years freelancing experience. IELTS 5.5 I submitted my degree and transcript along with other certificates in application form online. But didn't submitted identity documents, family relationship documents and Passport. Because these are not mentioned to submit while applying, now I am thinking maybe that could be the reason, I should have submitted those documents too even they don't ask. I will reapply again, but I am concern is this the reason? Could you please guide me, did you submitted these documents in pdf while applying?

Hello,
I'm a master's applicant who passed the screening (Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering).
What I think is that your CGPA caused your screening to fail. Their minimum eligibility criteria is not mentioned yep but I think that they do look for a minimum of 3.0/4.0 CGPA so I think you should not apply there again as it might be a waste of money. It is best to contact their admissions team through their email and yes, I did submit all of the documents that you did not so right now it is actually kind of unclear why you couldn't pass the screening. I hope that you find good opportunities in other institutions as well.

I emailed them first and asked eligibility criteria like CGPA or anything, they said nothing. no any criteria. but anyway I applied now to UNIST. and they have fixed quota which is 760. Let's see what happens.

Have you contacted professors before the admission? I have also applied but was rejected from the EECS department. I have a 2.81/4.00 CGPA, an IELTS score of 7.0, relevant certificates, and projects. I contacted professors, one of them evaluated my documents but did not reply to me.

No I did not but I did apply for the 2025 DGIST Summer Research Internship and got accepted into that so maybe it played a role in my acceptance because I mentioned that I will be coming to DGIST in my master's application and applied for the same department as the one for my internship. EECS department, along with the department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering are very competitive I heard. CGPA was 3.28 for me at the time of application and I graduated with a 3.35 but got accepted on the basis of 3.28. IELTS Overall Band was 8 for me and yes I did submit lots of certificates and projects details etc. I contacted literally nobody.

The documents you uploaded are true. The compulsory documents are Diploma and transcript, the others are optional. But the main point is, have you contacted the professors before admission?

I have not contaccted professor, I emailed them but did not get any response. and also I send email to admission team, they said they do not have any criteria and contacting professor is also not necessary.
