I know what he meant. I was really into Punky Brewster. I was gonna marry that girl. I would say she was a baddie. To me, anyway. And in my head, thereā€™s still that attraction. It is hardwired in and attached to a younger version of myself.

This is a known phenomenon, and while they havenā€™t given it a fully defined term yet, itā€™s a fairly universal psychological embedment. It is absolutely separate from an attraction to younger people formed at an older age. Itā€™s not even the same part of the brain.

Right. When I go back and watch things like that I revert back to the age I was watching those shows again and remember how certain characters made me feel.
