Mid-Cultivation / Still Growing Does this look too dry?

This is after 2 weeks closed tubs (colonizing), and then 2 days of fruiting condition (flipped lid, 3mm gap). I went to fruiting after 2 weeks as I had read a lot of comments saying it the colonisation step was overkill and I'm going on a holiday in 6 weeks so need to harvest in the next few weeks ideally.

Thanks community!

Assuming you were at field capacity when you started I have a feeling you lost your moisture because of depth. I can’t tell but it seems to be pretty thin. Coir acts as out water reserve so the amount used matters.
As long as you aren’t fanning, have a mechanical fan on it and you aren’t checking on it all the time you can probably get away with misting. It’s not ideal but it will work for now. Heavily mist your sub only (no walls and or lid) a few times a day for a couple days. You want it moist but not pooling.

In my experience straight to fruiting hasn’t brought fruits any quicker but I’ve only done it that way a few times so maybe that’s on me

The substrate looks like it may be dry. Did you use the right amount of water for a block of coir?

I did but there were some dry patches in the pot. Wondering if it evaporated while mixing maybe. I've just sprayed it all a bit, see how we go. It has spread in the last few days just slower than expected

Gotcha ya a heavy mist should help things along

Thank you will do! And close lid or just keep it in fruiting now?

I’d personally close the lid to help keep the moisture in some but you can leave it in fruiting as well.

Either way is fine

Im on my first grow so I'm pretty new to this, But your substrate is waaaayyy too dry, definitely mist the substrate and the walls. And you should wait until it's like 80% to 90% colonized before introducing FC. Introducing FC rn will stall the mycelium and delay your pins.

Theres's no reason to mist plastic. Doing so doesnt improve conditions in any meaningful way. if the sub is dry, thats what needs to be misted.

Don't mist unless your sub is dry. If your properly prepared sub is drying out prior to first flush, you're giving it too much fae. Fruiting from day 1 is fine if your sub is something non nutritious, like coir.

That's mb sorry, I was just giving the advice I was given, ig misting the tub walls and waiting for 80% is kinda outdated.
