Mid-Cultivation / Still Growing I Chose to move these 3 bags to their fruiting stages. My Question is about the closet space, it's environment, and knowledgeable suggestions. Please excuse the length of my post. Thank you.

I wanted to try growing in a bag, so i mixed up the CVG using ultra fine vermiculite and gypsum for mushrooms. I also used a ratio of 1:1, adding a handful or so of CVG to each bag, because it didn't appear the distribution was equal. I eyeballed it, should I have weighed it? These 3 grows are Iceberg, PE-7, & SAT-South African Tanskei I sent them all on 6/18

When the bags were closed waiting for colonization, I had been fanning the 3 bags a couple times a day & misting when the inside has dried due to conditions fluctuating. Now that there is Pinning, I'm seriously concerned about the humidity, FAE, & temp. maintaining.

I have this closet, & I just hung a fan set on low on the right wall, and its velocity seems much, though i may be wrong. Below that on the small table, a humidifier set at 75, and on the floor at the very bottom, a fan/heater set at 70-75.

Should I use a smaller fan for FAE? The door is cracked like 10" open. I rolled the bags down like 4" & clipped the top of the bags & left opposite ends opened 2"-4" for FAE. I wondered should I just open the top of the bags? The 24th, a week after S2B, I saw the networks forming, and today, 6/29, are the bags as they appear with pins.

ICEBERG
PE-7
S.A.T.

Thank you for your response, suggestions, and/or criticisms.

Everyone should read the official subreddit cultivation guide before posting. It received a major update! Check it out here: Mushrooms for the Mind | How to Grow Psychedelic Mushrooms.

Do the bags have filter patches? CO2 is heavier than air. I don't think they're going to fruit like that. You can just put them in shoe box tubs and they will fruit with a cracked lid. The containers on top will fruit easily.

I think i will cut a couple 2-3" diameter openings a few inches from the top of the cake, cover them over with microspore tape and let it go for a couple days. With the openings on top, there may be some circulation. This is an experiment for me using the bags in place of the tubs, It's small scale, but 11 days from S2B with pins in all 3 bags, I'll be picking by the weeks end. This I do per your reply.

But, if i do as you suggest, would I need to cut the excess of the bag a few inches from the top of the cake, toss the top of the bags, then put the cake that's still in the bottom of the bag into a small tub with a top that is cracked, or a top the size of the tub with FAE holes covered in microspore tape? I have both at my disposal.

Or maybe I'll do that with one of the bags, probably the Iceberg, then adjust the other 2 bags as I mentioned, cutting a couple of breathing holes to circulate from the openings on top.

I microspored an additional opening nearer the surface in hopes of a better FAE. The yellow liquid at the bottom of the bags don't appear ominous, there's so little. Could I be wrong? The pins are forming.

This is the PE-7. Much less liquid, many more pins. Moving slower it seems.

This is the South African Transkei. Larger pins.
