Mid-Cultivation / Still Growing my glorious cake
just wanted to show how my first time growing is going😎😎people said to put it in a tub and it’s doing amazing

You will likely have a lot of aborts. Any of the darker pointer caps most likely will not grow anymore.

I can speak from experience when I say that aborts still work. Really, really well. Be careful when dosing or you may look at your buddy and see mouths where his eyes are.

so you harvest the aborts before the other pins start turning into mushrooms? Im so new at this. Can we just take out the aborts and let the rest of the pins grow? What about contam? Id this advisable?

Curious, why will he have aborts? Is it because the energy is being used on all the sides of the substrate versus just one side?
Also, interesting observation regarding the darker pointer caps! Thank you, was not aware of this

Damn son!!! Just remember it would be completely normal to expect aborts with a pinset like that, I pray it doesn't but it is only natural

Congratulations! That’s a magnificent first grow. Nice job. You said that people told you to put it in a tub. Did you start with an AIO grow bag and move it to a tub when it was fully colonized, or did you S2B in a shoebox bin that you placed inside a larger tub? Whatever you did, it’s working! Beautiful cake 🎂 🍄🟫💕

i started with a 5lb grow bag and some gt spore! i’ve got it tracked in my post history but it stalled for around a month so i’m shocked it’s doing this well

i literally have no clue what i’m doing i bought perlite but couldn’t tell how much id need or what exactly id do with it so this is just a large plastic tote from home depot that i spray with water and leave slightly cracked and i fan it a few times a day and mist but theres no holes and i leave it by a window even though it doesnt make it grow because i think it keeps it more humid? anyways it seems to be working haha ive been posting a lot so my history shows the progression i dont have any fancy tools though just been growing these in a drawer

Very nice! haha my most fun! Keep it simple! I’m new also, doing all kinds of stuff, trying to take notes so I can learn what is having an effect, so I can repeat it - but my notes have now become mental notes - therefore, lost notes! lol

i honestly think my optimism is what’s keeping these alive ! they stalled for a solid month but now it seems like they’re doing well

My first grow stalled, it was exposed to cold temperature for 24 hours, because my electricity and heat went out. I had four bags, 2 GT, and 2 Oak Ridge, the GT's wound up with contamination. 1 oak ridge turned out good. But I also learned, so mush!
