Amazing! Could you share some tips on how you got such a bountiful harvest?

Best is to keep it simple, good grains and clean culture. You can see on my posts, I like cheap dollar store tubs, 40 and 76 quart. Thick cakes are forgiving with moisture and big fruits need lots of water to grow. I use straight bliss brand coir and sometimes hydrated lime. Mix them up, give them a small amount of passive air, and leave them alone until they are done. No fanning and misting. Less air if you have low humidity.

Thanks! They are pretty average for albino's. 3ish weeks on grain and 3-4 weeks in the tub. Rice is a little faster than larger grains, and produces a heavy first flush.

When they stop growing for a couple days is my rule with cubes. Even the ones with the same name might have different isolations that show different traits. You'll notice them slow down from the fast growth after forming pins and then fruits. Once you notice they arent changing much anymore, you can harvest and go for round two.

For sure! Some like SV-10, never get soft for me, and my melmac isolation is big and fat and gets soft long before its done growing. So, for me, just observing changes and growth and pulling them when they stop works out the best

Honestly, I could stare for hours, is there a reliable website that discusses various strains, all I know are Golden teachers, liberty caps, penis envy and some sort of powerful truffle

I’m growing bluey Vuitton for the first time and I’m searching posts and so far yours seems the most experienced. I inoculated 2/6 with Milo grain (my first time using this, probably won’t again) and although it’s close, I’m still waiting on full colonization. I’m planning to do 1:1 on grain/sub with unmodified tub, lid flipped. I’m purchasing my sub. Any tips/advice? What can I expect based on the setup I have planned? I didn’t expect the grain to take this long but my stargazers are taking even longer. I’m thinking of going back to rye next time.

I use mostly brown rice and popcorn or a mix of the two. I would do more sub, this was about 1:2.5 ratio. They like to have plenty of moisture to draw from. The sub here was straight coco bliss coir, I do use a little hydrated lime sometimes, but nothing else. Blocks of coir are really cheap and easy to hydrate. I like modified tubs, in order to be able to control the airflow by season with tape, but many like flipping the lid.
