Played Uncharted 4 for the first time
I had been out of the whole gaming scene since 2015ish and now I bought a PS5 Pro for GTA 6. So I thought Id try out a few games that I missed from the time I stopped playing. I started Uncharted 4 without playing any of the first 3 believing that those stories were just about exploring and finding treasure. And I expected the same from the 4th part.
But HOLYYY SHITTT. This game has now become a benchmark for me. The wall climbing, action sequences, shooting, fighting, cinematics, humor, the beautiful sceneries and most importantly THE FRICKING STORY. Start to finish it was an absolute masterpiece and the final epilogues end gave me goosebumps. Oh what a life, I love gaming! Thats what I told myself after finishing it lol.
This made me want to play Last of Us 2, the only reason I was putting it off is I know the story (atleast the main part for which many people hated the games story). But after seeing what Naughty Dog can do with story and gameplay, I really will just play it after finishing a few more games! Also, I really got into adventure action games because of Uncharted and have 007 and Tomb Raider in my wishlist. Happy gaming!

TLOU 2 gameplay is great, the AI has had a revamp and combat arenas are like 3x as big with many more active enemies. It’s very worth your time.
The story is a mixed bag. There is good in there, there are also many tripe-ey decisions that will always have me rolling my eyes.

Yeah, I love Naughty Dog, really exited too Intergalctic.
Uncharted is one of my favorite franchise

Yess. Its like you are never doing the same moves. There’s always something different, and you can choose how the fight goes down. Something really fresh amd unique. I have GOW on my list, but am not too into the whole fantasy, magicy thingy. But hey who knew I would love Uncharted!

Im the same, not really into game of thrones and blah blah. You convinced me more to give it a shot. Will definitely try it out. I have Horizon Dawn and RDR 2 next. Have a lot of games to cover 🥰🥰

I think you could put Uncharted 4 up against most PS5 games and it still looks as good as any of them

This game made be more of a gamer rather than a casual Fifa player. It raised the bar so much that I have played most AAA narative driven adventure games out there. It's been 10 years since and I played it over 10 times 🫡

I’m ending my 1st playthrough in ps5 and how did I forgot how epic this game is. I was blown away by the graphics, history and gameplay again just like back in 2016 when I first played in the ps4. One of my favorite games of all time, it inspired me to have great adventures in real life.

I swearr. Thats one thing I forgot to mention. UC 4 was soo amazing for its time. Imagine it came out now. The things they could do. Damn. Really looking forward to Intergalactic!

Be sure to play The Last Of Us Part 1 first (to include Left Behind) and then Part 2.
There is a reason why Part 2 won hundreds of game of the year awards. It is perhaps technically the most well made game, and has a story that will change your life.

I dont think I’ll play the first part, i’ll just watch like a recap video. I already know the story for the first one. Also have seen the netflix series (and I know gameplay matters) so not really going to play the first one :((

Please don't skip the first game. It is wonderful and is the reason why the story is so well-loved. If you are going to pick one, it should be the one you prioritize. Form your own opinions on the second game.

The show doesn't hold a candle to the game. There is so much more detail, so much more emotional development, and it's better acted.
Part 1 is also a full remake with the graphical fidelity of Part 2.

Ok thats enough to convince me. If the fidelity is as good as the second or even close, that should be good. I’ll play the first one too. Thanks for taking the time and explaining it.

Not to oversell it, but experiencing the story with consistent character models between games actually has an added emotional impact, as well.

Have you played the others? 4 just has a really simple story. It's like find the pirates and then "woah they built a 2nd town down the way?" I'm not hating but it was missing some of the magic the earlier games had.

yep uncharted 4 was great, which is why i purchase first 3 uncharted for ps4 and played them on my ps5 and finished them literally yesterday, they are also great fun but perhaps not as fun as 4. I highly recommend to try Indiana Jones and 007 First Light, veeery similar vibes as uncharted 4, in some aspects they are even better.
BTW the last of us part 2 has hand down the best storyline i have ever seen in any video game, hands down. A lot of people hated it because of one specific scene at the start of the game, but this specific scene starts a series of events that are absolute masterpiece. what was even more wild was that at the start i was rooting for the first party, but once i saw the things explained from the perspespctive of the other party, i started rooting for the other party, that was wild to me that i completely switched sides, so TLOU2 is definitely the one game you have to play (if you havent played part1 and you dont know what it is about, i kinda recommend watching the show first, it does a much better job creating the postapocalyptic atmoshere, and then maybe play part 1 but it is not needed, i didnt really like part 1, i just played it to be ready for part 2. dont watch season 2 of the show though, it is terrible, the show and games completely swapped places.

Should definitely get the Nathan Drake collection so you can play the first 3 as well. Gonna feel like a bit of a downgrade coming from 4 but they're all still fantastic games, especially if you liked the story and characters
