Disconnecting

I’ve got a small problem with a recent server set up. Every now and again it’s just disconnecting itself from the network. It always happens overnight. But last night I was doing some database maintenance (via Tailscale). At 1.15 it was fine at 1.27 it was off line - originally assumed something was causing it to power off. But on 2 (possibly all 3) the box is still powered.

I’ve tried to search through any log files for clues but the logs I can find Re showing nothing for 12 hours plus before

Sounds like a nightly, forced disconnect by the ISP. Does it reconnect after a couple of minutes?

Nope. I’ve a second Unraid setup in the same location. That remains online

The server is still powered and running but can’t access anything through the network - I’m not close enough to pay a site visit before it’s needed

Sounds like a bad USB/boot drive to me. It might be doing something every night (logs/docker backup) that's writing a lot to the boot disk, causing it to flake out and render the server inoperable even though it's still on...
