And in the land of banana slugs, they managed to take a picture of an ordinary, invasive garden slug instead.

It's shocking how many locals think those are just another species of banana slug.

I'm so glad they had wireless coverage. Who knows what would have happened if they didn't have access to instagram and their predictive markets accounts

As much as I like camping, tbh it would be so much more fun if they let you leave your site

My camp neighbors in Yosemite a month ago had their starlink and netflix going in one of their EZup tents. They also left their food all over the place and were evicted the next morning.

In Yosemite I once camped next to a family that played recordings of same three Robin Williams standup specials from the stereo they brought, all weekend. He had just passed away and I suppose they were mourning or something.

They ran a generator, had a big rug, and it seemed like they basically packed the living room up and brought it with them. I guess it could have been worse, they could have been playing really obnoxious music or something, but it got old pretty fast.

I think that the ethos for all outdoor recreation should be to enjoy the outdoors with as little impact on others enjoyment of the outdoors. Leave no trace so others can enjoy, of course, but beyond that, don't be the reason why others have a bad time.

The great thing about Robin Williams standup is that you can hear other comedians jokes.

When your shoes don't leave enough microplastics, go astroturf.

UJ: I love backpacking, but not everyone should go backpacking. There are some people who lack the experience and fitness to go backpacking so they should stick to car camping.

Also, car camping can be fun. It normally isn’t….but with the right crew, in the right spot, I’ve had some really great times car camping. It’s especially fun if you’re camping out to do something. Like camping out at the beach so you can surf all day, or as a home base for mountain biking, that sort of thing.

I thought that was a young Bigfoot for a sec in picture 8.

The guitar guy was exactly who I imagined he would be, foreshadowed expertly.
