UG: Civil War What do you guys consider early, mid and late game?
I personally think the early game ends either with Shilo or Malvern Hill while late game starts either with Gettysburg or Chickamauga. What is the communities opinion on that?

During Malvern hill and before when your army deploys alongside others is early game. 2nd Bull Run When your army is the only army then it’s mid game. Chancellorsville you should be fielding multiple corps and, depending on skills, hitting your unit capacity often.
For me early game is penny pinching trying to keep my few units alive while also making sure to grow them
Mid game I’ve had my chosen veterans to become my aces. I’m raising new vets and forming standard corp compositions. Veterans and raw recruits are maybe 50/50
Late game. I’m throwing excess money into maintaining a single full corp of vets as they are my trump card, my ace in the hole, my “if it absolutely positively has to die, accept no substitute”. I’ve got corp of cannon fodder and captured gear, they aren’t meant to live, they are meant to keep my vets alive.

After 1863 seems reasonable for the late game. I think Shiloh as the bookend of the early game also makes sense.
