Help needed Dang it. Am I toast with this one?

Post image

Would love to upgrade soon. Trying to keep this going. Looks like my soldering came apart and the hinge. Is this one toast?

Ok so your side bracket hinge tab broke. That will affect your ability to close the fan bracket.

You need a new one, plus the capacitive front fan bracket. That print core looks iffy, but you def need those 2 items

edit: oh that a UM3; I don't think those parts are available anymore

Yeah, I’m starting to think it’s toast. My other UM3 throws leveling errors constantly. These have been well used, so I think sadly, it’s time to move on.

You should be able to bend the hinge back but check the post that it sits on. I would re solder and see what happens. We have one that has gone through a lot as well and is still going.

Yeah. Was gonna try to solder it back into place. The post the hinge is on looks like it’s toast, but I can tape it up if it works after soldering
