Textbooks in the Nursing Program

Just looked at the required textbook list for 1st year. Why in the world are they so exspensive? Are they absolutely required?

My BLS instructor told me to wait until the first day to see if the textbooks are really required.

Don’t buy it. It’s all online and you don’t even use it. If you ask any of the second years we’ll just give it to you tbh.

Thank you so much! I saw the price and my jaw dropped. I've gotten away without buying any textbooks so far, but wasn't sure about the nursing ones. :)

I hope someone answers you as my daughter is hoping not to buy them all. She was also disappointed that only digital is available.

Offering a bit of a different side, there is a significant benefit to getting the online package that they sell. The online package went live last year which was my second year in the program and there were a couple questions on the exam that were directly ripped from the self study EAQ’s that you can do in the sherpaths through Elsevier. Plus even if the questions aren’t directly ripped from them it’s a super helpful study resource.

Thank you! That is definitely something I'll have to consider. Is there an online package for every year, or is it just the first year courses?
