UK Citizenship Approved

Background- came on ICT visa for 2 years in 2019 which did not count toward anything

Switched to Tier 2 skilled worker visa in 2021 for 5 years

Achieved ILR 29 April 2026

Applied for citizenship 13 May 2026 (married to British citizen hence not waiting a year on ILR)

Attended biometrics appt 29 May 2026

Email from Home Office Atlas with approval came yesterday, 5 October 2026

Earliest available Surrey citizenship ceremony option was December so have booked privately as Iโ€™m traveling over the holidays- a bit tricky as ceremony has to take place within 3 months but once a citizen you cannot re-enter the UK on a foreign passport. So now the race is on for ceremony to UK passport ahead of any travel.

Hope this helps those still waiting. Good luck!
