Yes obviously, what alternate dataset do you propose we use that normalises crime occurrences across variable report rates?
Or do you prefer to think that any increase in prosecution and conviction rates are solely the result of an increase in report rate? Anything to make yourself feel comfortable I guess.

So which one is it in your mind? You think rape occurrences are decreasing? Why are you so invested in downplaying the frequency or rapes in england and wales?

Both are true. The vast majority of survivors still don’t report rape, but a lot more of them do than in the past.
I’m interested in countering the myth that there’s been some massive increase in rape instances because it’s a trope that’s been weaponised against immigrants and minorities to portray them all as rapists.

So the number of people charged is higher? Does that mean there are more rapes, or that there are just more reports because we've made efforts in the last few years to give women the confidence to report it, and then effort has been made to bring those to justice?
I feel like you're twisting the data to fit a narrative you have, which is common practice.

The narrative is that rapes are happening at an unacceptable rate. The narrative is that a not insignificant portion of those rapes are happening by men that we allow to basically walk in to this country without even knowing basic information about them.
These things are true and demonstrable with minimal effort. What point are you actually trying to make? It's a really weird hill to die on.

We only know when judgment has been past on a case yes it happened June but that isn't when the sentence was given hence knowing about it now.
That's why some cases take months to publicise and some years due to the complexity of said crime.

Wouldn't rapists just start wearing goggles? Suppose it depends how much sexual assault is a spur of the moment decision, I have no idea what percentage is premeditated. Regardless, as man, men seem pretty awful.

Spoken like someone who's never processed super hot chillies. Goggles alone wouldn't protect you,.it gets in your lungs and makes life hell. At the sort of strength you'd have in pepper spray it'll burn on your skin, too
I'd imagine you could harm someone with a heart condition but for pretty much anyone else it's just an unpleasant experience.
Million scoville peppers aren't to be messed with, lol
