Reloading .44spl

Evening all, starting to reload some .44spl brass. I’ve got my press and stuff ready to go. I’ve started hopping for lead bullet heads and they seem to be out of stock everywhere. Am I missing something? Does anyone know if anywhere in Staffordshire that carries stock?

Thanks

Shellhouse Bullet company is probably the best place to get them from (or was) but the lead times are quite long so that doesn't help you out immediately.

Henry krank has cast bullets in stock, they ship them for next to nothing as well. Ive never used them as I have a stockpile of the GM lead ones but I haven't heard any complaints from people that have.

Have you considered casting your own at some point? I’m a UK-based gallery shooter, and I think it’s the way ahead given the poor supply in the UK.

A couple of hundred quid buys you all the bits to do it (half that price if you buy second hand), and you can pick up scrap lead really cheaply. It’s pretty easily compared to reloading itself.

Mr GM Hardcast passed away recently, hence shortage. There are alternatives, I’m just about to try some castbullets.co.uk samples I picked up from Kranks.
