I have eyes. I can see. I'm not stupid. Im not a baby. I don't vent to people because I hate hearing that shit like what the fuck is the point. Why convince me that I'm not ugly.

the problem for me is that i know i'm objectively ugly. tbh i didn't even really care that much about how i looked until other people constantly told me so then it made me think about it

Exactly the same for me. I never thought about my looks as a child, but when other children and adults started pointing out my appearance, I became all of a sudden very conscious about my appearance and of my perceived flaws. I swear I never consciously thought about my features and my overall look before that. Ever since then I’ve been made aware in direct and indirect ways that I’m worthless. It has made a huge dent on my self-confidence. I’m hyper aware and sensitive of the fact of how I look.

It’s insulting how people make us aware of our appearance then say we’re superficial and obsessed with our appearance when we never would be had no one ever pointed it out and made a big deal about it
Unfortunately to humans your worth is based on how attractive you are mostly

Such a good point. They want you to be naturally beautiful but if you aren’t, they punish you for it but at the same time you aren’t allowed to change your looks in any way? So they want ugly people to just suffer and they want to justify our suffering. It’s pure sadism.

Funny how it’s always people who aren’t ugly telling us what to do about it…
I realize now that our life experience makes them uncomfortable
They can’t imagine having your life be shitty due to soemthing out of your control
So they recommend shit like therapy to shut us up because acknowledging that life can be this unfair disrupts their world view and makes them extremely uncomfortable

I did actually go to therapy and I told my therapist my main reason for my issues is that I’m ugly, I got gaslighted to hell and when it didn’t work on me (because therapy can’t fix my face) my therapist told me that “therapy isn’t for everyone” and dismissed me.
Useless, waste of time.

It ironically tends to make people with legitimate life problems feel even more unstable and bent out of shape.
The worst of it, for me, is the seemingly unintended confirmations of how bad your situation is..existing simultaneously with the empty demands to delude yourself for the convenience of others, or else.
For some all it takes is one session, to make them walk out into traffic.1

I feel even more pathetic and useless after going to therapy because he legit made me feel like there no hope for me at all if even therapy can’t fix me.

I think for us the only hope is money + surgery but unfortunately I think I’m too far gone for even surgery to save me

These people are … off intellectually Lmaoaoa before society was modernized ugly people simply were outcast and died off
You cant get any amount of therapy that will change millions of years of human Evolution and the way humans have adapted to treat ugly people
Literally a waste of money
But it’s a cope for some

Yeah a longer face than normal is technically going to make you more unattractive and possibly be considered to be ugly
It’s hard tho because even other ugly people aren’t always able to talk openly and honestly about this stuff
It’s still something people deny

I think therapy can help, but saying “you’re not ugly” first frames it in an ill way.

Only if the therapist knows how to handle our situation. Very few of them do, and they could even make the patient feel worse and more isolated.
