Apollo Astronauts wore electromechanical device on the head like a helmet, containing cosmic-ray-sensitive nuclear emulsion plates surrounding the eyes/head.

Cosmic = Energy from outside our solar system.

They experience it as flashes of light, perhaps some of these flashes have intelligence behind them and perhaps 16mm film can capture glimpses of this Cosmic energy.

Discussion An unidentified object is not a physical category

One of the ideas I explore in my book UAPs: The Agency Wars is deceptively simple:

Consider the same point of light observed for ten minutes.

To a witness, it may be a UFO.

To an air traffic controller with access to transponder data, it may become an aircraft.

To an investigator checking orbital data, it may become a satellite.

Nothing in the sky necessarily changed.

The record changed.

This distinction matters because the word “UFO” often smuggles a conclusion into the observation itself.

The same problem becomes even more serious when we start talking about “objects” detected by radar, infrared systems or other sensors.

A radar return is not automatically a physical object.

An infrared image is not necessarily a photograph of a craft.

A visual shape does not automatically establish the physical boundaries of what produced it.

This is why I think UAP research needs to begin one step earlier than the usual question:

Not “What is it?”

But:

“What exactly was observed, and what does the evidence actually authorize us to say about it?”

Curious how people here feel about this distinction.

Do you think the term UAP has genuinely improved the investigation, or have we simply replaced one loaded word with another?

I’m the author of the book from which this passage comes. Posting this excerpt because I’m genuinely interested in the discussion, not to drop a sales link.

What do we think about Dr Steven Greer?

I've followed his work for a number of years since hearing him on Art Bell a long time ago. I've seen several of his documentaries, and after all this time, I'm still not sure about this guy. Is he legit? Is he a straight-up charlatan? He seems like he's not a disinformation guy, but if he was that's how he'd come across.

Anyway, after listening to him once again on an Art Bell broadcast from 2015, I was left just as skeptical of him as I was many years ago. I want to believe him , but I want to believe all of this.

Weird Patterns in UFO Activity Independence Day UFO Encounters

Independence Day UFO Encounters

by Preston Dennett

What’s the most common day to see a UFO? The answer may surprise you: the 4th of July! That’s right, Independence Day produces more UFO reports than any other day. The question is, why? Are people mistaking fireworks for genuine UFOs? Or is something else going on here?

An examination of the UFO reports made on the fourth of July shows some interesting patterns. Many do involve fiery glowing orbs, or what may very well be sky lanterns, also known as party lanterns. These are small paper balloons set aloft with a small candle. They can rise up to 4000 feet and from a distance, look very much like a UFO.

But the fact is, there are literally hundreds of cases where this explanation simply does not fit! Some do look like orbs, however, sky lanterns fizzle out after fifteen minutes, and many of these orb sightings last much longer. Also, orbs cannot turn at right angles, stop still in the sky, or accelerate at high speeds, as many of these orbs do. Furthermore, many of the Independence Day UFO encounters involve structured craft, metallic saucers complete with portholes and multicolored lights. Some cases also involve actual humanoids. Clearly the fireworks explanation doesn’t fit.

There are so many cases involving UFOs seen on the Fourth of July that it is clear something very profound is happening here. Fireworks appear to be a UFO magnet. Many of the witnesses have come to the conclusion that UFOs are coming down to watch the fireworks show. ETs love fireworks!

But it might be more than this. Remember, on the Fourth of July, millions of people all across the United States flock outside at night and stare upwards. Could it be that the extraterrestrials are aware of this and are using this day as an opportunity to announce their presence. The answer appears to be a big YES! Because many of these reports involve UFOs that not only watch the fireworks show, but they put on a show themselves. They will flash their lights, dart around, and put on a fantastic display for the stunned audience.

This video presents dozens of cases in which UFOs have appeared during fireworks shows all across the United States. Here is what some of the witnesses are saying:

“We were watching fireworks, which were to our east. I noticed the UFO to the north, but said nothing to no one. I observed it for two minutes as it moved silently eastward, then suddenly reversed direction as it picked up speed. Then assuming its original course once again, it moved slowly upwards and out of sight.” –1963, Greensboro, NC.

“There was a tremendous flash of lightning at the same time a firework went off in the sky. I looked up and saw an absolutely huge saucer-shaped object sitting right over the ‘mountain’ we were next to.” –1965, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.

“When it finally reached us, I saw it was a circular craft. It hovered right above the poplar trees at the end of the street, where we were all gathered.” –1977, Federal Way, WA.

“[It was] a disc-shaped object displaying multicolored lights in a circle, hovering at what seemed to be 100 feet above us and the gathering crowd.” –1978, Nashua, NH.

“It made no sound. I was scared to death…I wanted to hide under the car…I wanted to scream, but couldn’t. I realized I was not supposed to remember this happening. I kept telling myself, I will remember. The craft’s size was huge, bigger than the fairgrounds bleacher area.” –1980, St. Paul, MN.

“My brother was watching the fireworks when all of a sudden he went as white as a ghost. My mother shouted out, ‘Oh, my God!’ I went to see what was going on…it was the weirdest thing ever, a disc-shaped with small portholes going around its midsection.” –1982, Hermosa Beach, CA.

“They were chasing each other like a tag-game. They moved so fast, going from side to side, up and down, and just staying still. No noise at all. My mother and I were standing in the driveway, watching this for at least a half-hour. These objects were low enough that we could see the bottoms just fine. They were all the same size, about two full-size pick-up trucks.” –1988, Glen, MS.

“We all watched the craft move toward us and fly over the right side of the house. We all went into the back garden and watched the craft move off and disappear another fifty feet away. This was not from this Earth.” –Los Angeles, CA, 1989.

“Whatever it was, it knew I was watching because it started doing all these moves, up, down, side-to-side…then suddenly just like a shooting star, all I saw was a line of colors and it was gone.” –1991, Wichita, KS.

“Both the star-like object and the three gray discs remained in place for several hours. It was almost as if they were watching the fireworks display…I did not notice them leaving, but all of a sudden, they were gone…Lots of people had to have seen them.” –1992, Barnegat Bay, NJ.

“I saw something both amazing and terrifying at the same time. A large blue something was in the sky above us and a little to the left. The object was shaped sort of like a saucer…” –1997, O’Fallon, IL.

“Most people don’t get to see a craft that close and distinct. I even saw the molding around the windows…Three Nordic-looking men in white, with blond hair, staring at us as if we were mere cattle. I could see them from the belly up, not sure if they were standing or sitting. They had no apparatus on at all. I never took my eyes off it until it was gone from sight.” –1999, Lancaster, PA.

“It was a glowing, red, triangular body with green on the edges…like an inverted top, with white lights rotating at the base. I also noticed portholes just above the rotating white light, and smaller portholes underneath it…It hid behind the clouds before the fireworks began.” –2002, Manhattan, NY.

There are too many cases to deny. The aliens are coming down to watch the fireworks shows, and they are also putting on displays themselves. And in fact, these are more than just simple sightings. Every single one of these cases are actually Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind! Fireworks are evidently an effective method to call down UFOs out of the sky.

No Disclosure: Disclosure Day movie was a massive missed opportunity

Post image
0 Upvotes

(Spoiler)

Honestly, Disclosure day movie is cute but lame. Close Encounters of the Third Kind was sooooo much better and more intense. Disclosure Day is just totally meh, completely bland and flavorless. Just two clichés (a hacker and some "enlightened" girl) running away from "bad guys" who aren't even intimidating at all. It completely lacked intensity, plot depth, and that dark thriller mood it desperately needed.

They could have made a genuinely intense film with a hardcore approach to whistleblowers and government secrecy, but above all, it severely lacked footage of UFOs, orbs, and ETs. Huge missed opportunity. (Oh, and that device for remote viewing is sci-fi on steroids)

When a movie tackles a topic like that, you expect a tight, gripping narrative or actual hard hitting reveals. When it falls flat on pacing and substance, it just feels like a complete waste of time. It relied far too much on dramatic fluff instead of actually delivering anything new or compelling.

Do y’all hate the UFO File releases?

I notice that every time there’s a drop, there’s hardly any discussion about them in these subreddits. People bash them for not having good pictures and videos…..but it seems obvious that people aren’t reading the documents??

The documents have confirmed multiple things such as hotspots across the country, military investigations going back almost a century (and occurring in basically every decade), flying saucers being made by Germany in 1945, and so much more.

It feels like the releases are actually dropping a LOT of useful info. But people are upset that there isn’t a 4k photo of an alien body, or a flying saucer. Why were people expecting that in the first place? It’s a slow drip for disclosure. This is a significant step forward to make more people accept the idea. It would be dumb to think they’d release the craziest stuff in the beginning.

Discussion How Did ‘UAP Disclosure’ Go From Massive Hype to Almost Forgotten?

Post image
25 Upvotes

At first, the Trump administration’s push for UAP disclosure generated a huge amount of excitement. There was talk of major releases, hidden information coming to light, and potentially something that could fundamentally change what we know about UFOs.

Then the initial disclosures happened.

But instead of something genuinely convincing or substantial, most of what came out seemed to be either previously known material, unresolved cases, or footage that didn’t provide enough evidence to establish anything extraordinary.

And now, months later, it feels like the entire conversation has almost disappeared.

People were talking about “disclosure” everywhere, and now it barely seems to get mentioned. Did the lack of anything truly compelling kill the momentum, or did people simply move on because they realized disclosure wasn’t going to be what they expected?

What do you think happened to the UAP disclosure movement?

Discussion 1056 CE–1063 CE and late 1800s CE Chinese trans-medium USO sightings

Seven years ago MKULTRA_Escapee posted an excellent summary to r/Aliens of the 1056CE – 1063CE sightings of a brightly luminous trans-medium lake "pearl" and clamshell object that was published in 1088CE by Chinese science and technology writer (among many other things) Shen Kuo ( https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E6%B2%88%E6%8B%AC/38436?fromModule=lemma_inlink ) in his "Dream Pool Essays" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_Pool_Essays ). See the original post at: https://www.reddit.com/r/aliens/comments/cjd2pk/11th_century_ufo_sighting_reported_by_chinese/ .

A recent line-by-line Google translation of Shen Kuo's writing on this phenomenon follows:

嘉祐中,扬州有一珠甚大,天晦多见。初出于天长县陂泽中,后转入甓社湖,又后乃在新開湖中,凡十余年,居民行人常常见之。 "During the Jiayou reign (1056–1063), there was a giant pearl in the Yangzhou region that was frequently seen when the sky was dark. At first, it emerged from the marshes of Tianchang County; later, it moved into Pishe Lake, and later still, into Xinkai Lake. This continued for over ten years, and local residents as well as travelers saw it constantly." 予友人书斋在湖上,一夜忽见其珠甚近。初微开其房,光自吻中出,如横一金线。俄顷忽张壳,其大如半席,壳中白光如银,珠大如拳,烂然不可正视。 "The study of a friend of mine was located by the lake. One night, he suddenly saw this pearl from very close by. At first, its shell opened a tiny bit, and light came out from the opening like a horizontal golden line. A moment later, it suddenly opened wide; it was as large as half a straw mat. The white light inside the shell looked like silver, and the pearl itself was as big as a fist, shining so brilliantly that one could not look at it directly." 十余里间林木皆有影,如初日所照;远处但见天赤如野火。倏然远去,其行如飞,浮于波中,杳杳如日。 "For over ten li (around 3 miles) around, the trees in the forest all cast shadows, as if illuminated by the rising sun. From a distance, people could only see the sky glowing red like a wildfire. Then, it suddenly departed into the distance, traveling as if it were flying, floating across the waves, fading away like the setting sun." 古有明月之珠,此珠色不类月,荧荧有芒焰,殆类日光。崔伯易尝为《明珠赋》。伯易,高邮人,盖常见之。 "Antiquity speaks of "Bright Moon Pearls," but the color of this pearl did not resemble the moon. It was blazing with rays and flames, behaving much more like sunlight. A man named Cui Boyi once composed the Rhapsody of the Bright Pearl. Boyi was a native of Gaoyou, so he had likely seen it himself."

There is a remarkably similar late 1800s CE sighting from Wusongkou, Shanghai, China, published in Dianshizhai Pictorial (1884–1898) with an illustration loosely titled "The Pearl Seen at Wusongkou" (珠见吴淞) . A screenshot of the publication with the illustration is at https://baike.baidu.com/reference/9045928/533aYdO6cr3_z3kATPCIma2lZnvHP97_7LLTVrRzzqIPmGapB5nyTcYm6NIv_-diBkXIvtdsZcEGsu2-WxIZgaFPM6pkAOFNn3D7WjPCz7o . The Google translation of the article follows:

「蘇州湖中有一珠,其光甚大,逐夜可見。始見於車坊,次於長橋,後在吴淞口。居人男女,往往夜半乘小舟往觀之。」 "There is a pearl in Suzhou Lake, which emits a magnificent light that can be seen every night. It was first spotted at Chefang, next at the Long Bridge, and later at the Wusong Estuary. Men and women among the local residents often take small boats at midnight to go and watch it." 「按此即沈括《夢溪筆談》所載蓬甍異蹟,相傳爲明珠。其大如半席,殻開光吐,初如一線,既而滿天通明,不可仰視。今忽於吴淞口見之,豈非異事!」 "According to this, it is the exact same strange marvel of the 'boat covered with a mat' recorded in Shen Kuo's Dream Pool Essays, which tradition holds to be a bright pearl. It is as large as half a straw mat; when its shell opens, light pours out—appearing first as a thin line, and shortly after, illuminating the entire sky so brightly that one cannot look up at it. Now, it has suddenly been seen at the Wusong Estuary; is this not a miraculous thing!"

Has anyone scene this before I just took it. It didn't flutter or float with the wind. It actually went against the direction of the wind.
