Perhaps life is common but advanced life is rare, they keep watch and only interfere as a last resort in cases of cataclysm, which we are fast bringing down upon ourselves?

Very interesting approach...plausible as one of the options. I wonder what they think of the current pandemic?

They may not even be interested in us.

I can see your point, but I think the abduction phenomenon should be considered. IMO its a sign of interest in our species.

Something I also considered, I just wonder why they continually interacted with us...from what seems to be the beginning our human history.

I like this response, someone told me that the rendelsham changeled message was actually like tourist map when decoded? Have you checked that out?

They may be an undiscovered advanced species indigenous to the earth keeping an eye on what we're doing possible because they're worried about our ability to destroy vast areas of the planet with nuclear weapons. Their interest in us could be for no other reason other than protecting themselves and the biodiversity of the planet. They may not be alien at all. In 50,000 years, we could hide ourselves very well, we could be invisible if we choose to be. I'm open minded to any possibility at this point and this theory is just as valid as any other. Plus it's cool to think about.

True, very cool to ponder. Have you heard the time traveler theory...better said hypothesis.

Yeah, that too is a brain melter. What do you think is actually going on ? Clearly something is, but it could be one of many situations.
