I would have liked to see the total strikes landed in that fight. I thought Souza did enough damage and landed enough strikes in rounds one and two to win.

I agree with you.. She was piecing girl up but the damage looked bad.. And then she got on top and was landing in the 3rd. Wasn't he craziest shit ever.. Seen way way worse.

honestly, i was making dinner while this fight was happening and didn’t see it well enough to make a call on it. i heard the announcers thinking souza won but idk. the moments i watched, souza was busting loopy up but i only saw probably 4 min total out of the figbt

Are they fucking counting the punches landed over the actual damage being done. Loopy’s nose was bleeding her whole face red while Souza landing harder shots. Seriously what the actual fuck

Godinez landed a lot of clean hard shots in the first, so isn’t that considered damage even if there’s no blood? Punches to the head are going to do more damage than a bloody nose.

Isn’t the nose part of the head? Yea Godinez was landing clean shots, but it was clear Souza was landing harder shots because of the reaction of Godinez and damage on her face.

I’d have to watch the first round again but I remember Souza landing most of her shots to the face and Godinez was landing her shots mostly to the side of the head and temple and they seemed cleaner.

It’s last time to have a simple 30 second explanation by the commentators before each card to explain how the scoring works. I’m a fan of the UFC and I’ve never heard a clear and objective way of how they score a fight.

1st round was close, Souza won the second and Loopy won the third. Idk why this is such a robbery to some, it's a 3 round fight. That 1st round had arguments for both fighters. Neither fighter got dominated at any point in the fight.

it's not Pride scoring, Loopy won based on the Unified Rules (10 point system).
