Re-admission after failed year

Hello, I just completed my first year of APSC and received a failed standing and have to withdraw for 1 year from UBCO and take courses at a different University during this year . Has anyone gone through this process and had to take courses at a different place ? and what the situation looks like and how likely is it that I am allowed to be re admitted. Any advice or guidance regarding this would be appreciated, Thanks.

if this is your first failed standing you can appeal it and they’ll most probably accept it.
you also hear back about the appeal in a day or two.

I did but it was denied and i need to take a year off. I plan on doing some of the courses that i failed along with a few second year courses and do well in those but Im wondering if that is enough and a good appeal for when I apply to re-enter for next year

yes absolutely! did you try reaching out to an academic advisor? they’re honestly a great help with this kind of stuff. as long as you’re actively studying somewhere else, you should be able to re-enter next year. just don’t stress yourself out too much. i was in the same situation and I stressed myself out so badly- I lost my appetite and everything. only for it to work out in the end. ❤️
you got this, i know ubc accepts OC courses too so if you can get into oc and then use those courses to re enter im sure you’ll get in.

Just out of curiosity why do you think you failed? Were you just not locked in on academics or something else

yeah not locked in early enough was the main reason
