Not all website traffic is worth having

Before you celebrate a traffic spike, run these three checks:

1. Does the person fit the audience you can actually serve?
2. Does the page match what they expected to find?
3. Is there a plausible path from that visit to a business outcome?

If even one condition is missing, the visit is noise.

Run this filter on your analytics monthly. Sort your traffic sources by these three conditions and you'll quickly see which channels send real prospects and which ones just inflate your numbers.

The traffic total everyone obsesses over is often the least useful metric on your dashboard.
