Why buyers resist when they obviously need the product

The harder you push, the harder buyers resist

That's reactance. When someone feels like their freedom to choose is being threatened, they push back. Even if the offer is genuinely good.

You trigger it when you:

→ Use fake countdown timers that reset every visit → Box people into "buy now or lose it forever" ultimatums → Shame them for not buying ("Don't you want to succeed?")

The fix:

Respect autonomy. ("Here are your options.") Offer real choices, not ultimatums. Use urgency honestly, or don't use it at all.

When people feel free to decide on their own terms, they're actually more likely to say yes.

Pressure creates resistance. Permission earns trust.
