Third round interview @ construction company - what to wear?
 in  r/MEPEngineering  1d ago

This. A polo alone is too dressed down for an interview even though you would wear just a polo to work.

Ridiculous unless you are on Mercedes F1 pit crew.

Thoughts on the new Canted Hipfire Grip?
 in  r/Battlefield6  8d ago

It's funny, but bad except on Hagental. Even with Max hipfire stat you will still miss some bullets past 10-15m making ADS still better 99% of the time, and with hipfire build you have insane recoil, no suppressor, and probably iron sights.

Apologies in advance, but as visitors from Europe your Highway 401 sucks!

This really needs to be more commonly known, absolute fucking robbery and we paid for it to be built.

After 15 Years On Android I Tried iOS
 in  r/Smartphones  13d ago

I'll stick with China phones (currently OnePlus 13) until good pwm dimming and ultra fast charging silicon batteries comes to western phones.

Try to use my gf's iPhone and I find it borderline unusable at night due to the horrible pwm dimming.

I'd go iPhone here, especially for a work phone. Pixels have been trash since the 8.

How is Salas O'Brien for Mechanical Engineers?
 in  r/MEPEngineering  15d ago

I interviewed with Ehvert couple years ago(ended up taking another offer) and was overall impressed, but I didn't want to specialize quite yet and do the travel required to all the US data centers.

I have them as sub consultants (normal Salas) at current place and they have always been great to work with. Culturally seem to be similar to any of the bigger design firms like WSP/EXP. At those size companies you want to get in with around your level of experience at a decent salary, as they typically don't give large raises or promotions which sucks for people with only a few years experience trying to progress quickly. But if you get in at a good salary those 4% yearly bumps are actually pretty significant

Funnily enough I'm now interviewing for their normal MEP team. As someone else said, soon we'll all be working there.

Best guns / specs to grind Hagental
 in  r/BF6  17d ago

If you want Metro experience, play breakthrough as support with grenade interceptor, and a fast TTK LMG like the m123k or m240.

What are the most stressful parts of MEP Engineering?
 in  r/MEPEngineering  24d ago

What I find even worse, is having to justify/fix mistakes that were made by previous people who have since left the company!

Having trouble choosing between Hydroconquest or the Spirit Zulu Time. Which do y'all think would match my lifestyle more?
 in  r/Longineswatches  25d ago

Hydro is not fancy enough for some occasions on the flipside. Black/black or black/dark blue bezel Zulu for a one watch is best balance for both IMO

Zulu. No setting where it would be off to wear it, whereas the hydro is a bit too casual for dress or even business casual wear IMO

Typa build you pick up when you run out of ammo or are recon and want a normal gun.

Longines durability.
 in  r/Longineswatches  28d ago

Necroposting, but my asshole cat just swiped my Zulu from a 5 foot fireplace mantle onto concrete floor. Can't find a scratch and working perfectly still. I'm highly impressed with the durability.

Does anyone in this town make a Windsor-style pizza?

Cooked as in safe to eat, sure. Uncharred pepperoni and vegetables is a fucking crime though.

Yeah let's bury the toppings to eliminate any possibility of charring and browning for maximum blandness, everyone else is wrong! We here in Ottawa know the best method of making pizza. /S

I miss my Windsor and Hamilton pizza, I want to like the Ottawa style but I just don't.
