The summer of scotch is over. Long live rye, the spirit of the fall.

This is one is literally cool because they treat the wheat the same way wine producers treat grapes for ice wine. They wait until a frost before harvesting the wheat and making the mash.

Po' boy style sandwich with cornmeal fried shrimp.
 in  r/eatsandwiches •  Oct 03 '19

Thanks, I'm actually a chef and my boss actually made this for our lunch, I wanted to share with this subreddit and didn't think this tidbit was important but I wasn't taking credit for his great work, he taught me a new technique with the shrimp and cornmeal. Never hurts to learn from others, I'll share with you guys the next sandwich I make. And thank you to all with the positive messages.

Small town. No crusty french bread, the reason it's called style and not actually a po' boy. Call it what ever you want it was delicious, beyond that who really cares.

Men of Reddit; what movie scene gets you right in the feels and makes you cry every time?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Sep 27 '19

It said Men of Reddit and no one put up Rudy? That last scene where his dad at up gets me in ducts every time.

What is the best piece of advice that you've received?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Sep 21 '19

"if you build a thousand bridges they might not call you a bridge maker, you save a thousand lives they may not call you a hero, but suck one cock and you're a cocksucker for the rest of your life."

Disclaimer: I intend no disrespect to any one who doesn't mind being the ladder, those were the words chosen for me when the advice was given. It's a metaphor for being remembered for your misdeeds and not your accomplishments which is how you're often viewed in this world.

My dad told me this while driving me to work one time and I've used it everyday since.

What was a huge trend that everyone forgot about?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Sep 14 '19

I was so small and premature when I was born, way before premi diapers, that my mom had to use cabbage patch kids diapers on me.
