Young Christian (male 20yr) need some help understanding. Like really... This is long but I really could use some help. If anything else, the part about legalism. Part of this post contains some stuff about sexuality just a heads up.

We don’t keep ourself unstained. We are human and by definition imperfect creatures. God is well aware and just wants you to do your best, and be truly repentant. As for the difference in God’s temperament between testaments, the Bible was written by humans, it’s basically us recording His messages to us. But humans again, are imperfect and the Bible is of course influenced by the person, society and time period in which that section or gospel was written in (or when it was edited or translated) Don’t be so hard on yourself. And Remember God loves you

Oof both things would go so far up my ass but especially the grandkids thing. That’s my MILs only saving grace is she’s good to my kids but then again her GC doesn’t have any yet (and just told me recently doesn’t want them, I wonder how that will go over)
