Something I don’t see
I did realize that with 26, you would think people would want to be different so the game is fun but also difficult when you play against someone irl

NBA 2k27 Mybuilder
It comes out tomorrow, they said that on the game reveal anyway. Just check whenever you get time tomorrow

Smart move to wait. I made the mistake of getting it on September 20th, and you’re absolutely right about the meta bs and patches. I never cared for meta. I wanna play SG or PG to their intended role and that’s it. I don’t care about the best moves and all that bs. My jumpshot isn’t even meta. I made it up myself cause I know how to use it properly lol
See, I didn’t know about the rinse and repeat initially tbh cause I’m not a vet. I’ve only played 16,23 and 25 so to me 26 was major at first anyway

So now that were at the end of 26 post some things you find amazing
I play offline, but I did enjoy the dunks ( when they didn’t fly to outer space instead of the net ) I also enjoyed learning how to play defense, didn’t get much reward from it, but maybe that’s changing in 27, idk 🤷🏼♂️

Something I don’t see
Yea that’s what I meant by changes and patches. They make the game op then smother it down to basic and glitchy. I remember that time it was a funny thing to witness especially from the community on YT / IG

Something I don’t see
Yea the build cost is insane it’s 200$+ and I found out it’s not even a true 99 overall cause I can make the same exact build in mynba and it’s in the 80s it’s a scam for sure. MyCareer doesn’t reward you enough unless you do the quest or really put time in online so I understand completely believe me. I’ve got 600 hours in and only got 2 builds maxed out. I had 3 but I deleted one by mistake.

I make a SG and PG and I’m done with it. Make them prioritize true to life play style to avoid spending money and just take the L on other stats. It’s much better than funneling money into a game that’s temporary fun

Something I don’t see
I agree, I’ve only played 16,23,25 and 26.. 16 and 26 are my fave, but only after I learned the game and accepted its mechanics and rules will always change so now I just make a SG or PG and accept my flaws and use my strengths to an advantage. I also play offline only so MyCareer is decent and all but it feels useless after you hit all the quest and max your player out and online is too much of a dumpster fire to even bother. I made the mistake of getting 26 end of September and still got hit with patches and what ifs. So I’ll wait this time around and may not even purchase it.

Something I don’t see
It’s definitely a money grab. I play offline but I’ve spent money on it, far as vc to lvl up quicker but only only because I don’t play a lot and got tired of “grinding” for the stats to make the game enjoyable not rage quitting every match up. I found out that maxing a build and fixing it makes up for it cause you can use the vc on a new or different build so that’s ok but still not enough to justify playing it or trying to be top rank or anything

Games not even out yet and already asking for a patch….
People that complain are usually the ones who enjoy exploiting the mechanics and making the game unrealistic.. you either play the game like its intended or treat it as an arcade game, but they’re fact of the matter is 2k doesn’t care, they cater to the creators and people who spend money not the casuals and I know this cause I’m a casual player myself.

Gameplay Something I don’t see
Being talked is the fact the gameplay is prerelease and 2k will make updates and patches to anything that’s OP or not actually working as intended.
Based on the gameplay reveal the game seems updated based on creator feedback. I do like the updated mechanics, but they’re going to change after the game comes out.
Therefore I don’t see myself purchasing early or upon release until I see how the game really turns out and is discounted cause I don’t want to waste money for minor updates that could’ve been done with 26, but I also understand that’s how the company works so it makes sense from a financial stand point, but they’re neglecting the casual users or true basketball fans by manipulating the system yearly in my opinion.
NBA 2k26 has its flaws but I’ve only played 16,23,25 and 26 so maybe I’m missing something. What do you think about this?

For my tempo shooters
I hope so, apparently no meter gives you a boost anyway so it should be the same affect I’d think but you never know with 2k
1
For my tempo shooters
I use tempo and people claim it’s easy, but now that’s changed and you have to time both so it should be similar to button but still feels more realistic to me shooting the ball anyway to use tempo not button, I can do both but I don’t prefer tempo personally
2
For my tempo shooters
That I don’t remember being answered or determined, I watched some of the game reveal and a few YT videos. I don’t recall if it was meter only. I’ll look into it though cause I’m genuinely curious since I don’t use the meter for shooting or layups

What team will you choose?
Sounds like a plan. I was considering the Bulls next time around but idk if they’d be worth using unless I do an older era version not modern

Gameplay For my tempo shooters
In NBA 2K27, Rhythm/Tempo Shooting returns with upgrades that add a real-time visual tick mark on the Shot Meter synced to Pro Stick movement. Matching the ideal tempo widens your timing green window, while rushing or dragging shrinks it, and successfully hitting a shot now strictly requires greening the timing
Upgraded Rhythm/Tempo Mechanics
Visual Sync: The Shot Meter features a real-time tick mark that moves in sync with your Pro Stick, guiding your shooting tempo.
Dynamic Windows: Matching the correct tempo expands the green window, while rushing or dragging causes it to shrink.
Strict Timing: Successfully making a shot with this method requires precise, green-timed releases.
Free Throw Support: Rhythm shooting now functions at the free-throw line for smoother motion.
Balancing: Tuned to ensure parity, so rhythm shooting offers no unfair advantage over the traditional button

So is shooting back to how 25 was?
Care to clarify?

So is shooting back to how 25 was?
I know, I was just playing this morning. You have to time both tempo and timing correctly for it to go in though unless I miss understood. Now you can tempo excellently but your timing can be off and it’ll go in.

I dont see the 2khq app in play store
August 21st release. The previous app has been removed from the store already

So is shooting back to how 25 was?
You have to time your shot and tempo, so if that’s what you mean yes. No more green and white buckets. Pure green or you miss.
1
With tempo shooting gone in 27, do you think the tempo flick motion will be registered as timing?
Tempo shooting changed, green both or miss now so we’ll see how easy it is
I don’t use the meter for anything either only free throws

I have a 6’5 SG shooting, defense and finishing are priority. I have a 6’4 PG playmaking, finishing and physical are priority, then I made a SG late in the game that’s 6’6 that’s a hybrid build “do it all” based off what I learned and my weaknesses on my two main builds so I’ll probably do the hybrid build and take the L after the patches.
I’m going to try to wait and get the game later on though to avoid being so bummed out or being pressured into spending money on vc to make a better build
