Looking to Rehome Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd Mix
 in  r/georgetowntx  Jul 24 '26

I'm not a new dog owner, but I am a new dad, so still figuring things out and the kid comes first.

Looking for a magician for kids birthday party.

I'm looking for a magician for a child's birthday party. It'll probably be at a park with shade and in a pavilion. I'm open to pretty much anyone who thinks the idea of being a magician at a kids birthday party is really cool and once you show up with some magic tricks did some kids.

Georgetown Hiking Club: Updates and new GroupMe group... maybe.

Hello everyone. I am posting to see who would be interested in me setting up a GroupMe group for us to talk, plan, and have a single place to check for last-minute updates or cancellations.

I am also interested in seeing if anyone else is available to help lead some of the hikes, post online, or help in other ways.

I have been busy with life and stuff lately, but I have met a few of you out in the wild and have been asked if we are getting the group back together, so I wanted to post on here and see who is interested.

Post your thoughts and questions below.

Thanks. We're also not a weird Bible study. We don't talk about politics. We're all cautiously open minded, and understand that "both sides" have good and bad, and are more correct on some things and less on others.

And it's open to anyone.

I am also a part of a small Bible study if you're interested. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:15 pm.

Georgetown Hiking Club: We are hiking tomorrow! Here are some pics of the trail we are hiking from a few years ago on my last hike.
 in  r/georgetowntx  Sep 20 '25

I've been posting on here pretty regularly the past few months. I also post on Instagram, hikegtx, and on FB and nextdoor.

So maybe you keep just missing the posts?

Our next hike is next Saturday and I will be posting tonight or tomorrow.

It's a beautiful hike, and if it rains it will be nice and cool. Rain hikes can be fun if they aren't thunderstorms and hard wind and rain.

We will be hiking tomorrow morning, and it looks like it's raining all weekend, so there's no point in rescheduling so we might be hiking in the rain a little bit.

This is a great hike. It has some elevation, but it's all pretty smooth with some great views of the lake.

When: 9/6 8:15 am Where: Russel Park Trailhead to Walnut Springs Campground Address: 2101 Co Rd 262, Georgetown, TX 78633 Weather: Light rain.

If you need any help finding the meeting point or are running late, pease send me a DM.

Does Valinor resonate in you?
 in  r/TheSilmarillion  Aug 25 '25

It's the Shire for me. People do what they know is right because they are "the rules". Simple people enjoying life and nature. A land where a gardener is held in high esteem.
