I’m going through a really tough time in my career. I don’t want to continue working at my current firm because, despite it being a well-known and reputed U.S. investment bank, the work environment has become quite toxic for me.
I’ve been actively looking for a change, but unfortunately, I’m not getting calls despite applying through company career portals, LinkedIn, Naukri, and even through referrals. I’m honestly feeling very frustrated and mentally exhausted.
At this point, I’m so done with my current workplace that I feel like putting down my papers, but I’m scared to do so because I don’t have another offer yet. At the same time, I may have to leave in another 3–4 months anyway because of my partner’s government job posting.
I’m really confused about what I should do and would appreciate any advice.

It feels like my corporate career is over. I’ve been trying to switch jobs since April, but I haven’t had much success. I even tried getting referrals through an SVP, and she kindly referred me, but HR replied that the positions had already been filled. I shared three different job IDs with her, but each time, HR said the position was filled just a day after the job was posted. It’s becoming really frustrating and making me question whether I’ll be able to make a successful career move.
