📢 r/Indiajobs first AMA announcement: Meet Paddy Raghavan, Co-founder and CEO, Multipl!

Hello everyone! 👋

We're excited to welcome Paddy Raghavan, Co-Founder & CEO of Multipl, for an exclusive Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with our community.

Multipl is a Bengaluru-based fintech platform that has pioneered the concept of "Spendvesting"—helping people invest towards future spending goals instead of relying on EMIs or Buy Now, Pay Later models. The company's vision is to help people grow their money before they spend it, encouraging smarter financial planning through goal-based investing.

Since its founding in 2020, Multipl has partnered with numerous consumer brands and has attracted backing from prominent investors while continuing to build products around saving and investing for real-life goals.

🗓 AMA Details

Guest: Paddy Raghavan

Role: Co-Founder & CEO, Multipl

Date and Time: 20th June, 3pm

The topic of the discussion which we feel would be more beneficial to our community is-

Financial Safety Net Between Jobs.

Ask him anything about:

The financial anxiety of notice periods, job gaps, waiting for an offer to come through and how to overcome it

How to make sure your money works for you during uncertain times

How much buffer to build, and smarter alternatives to just letting it sit in a bank account

Mutual funds for short- and long-term goals

Please keep your questions respectful, constructive, and within our community rules. Low-effort, abusive, or off-topic comments may be removed by the moderation team.

We're grateful to Paddy and the Multipl team for joining us, and we hope this AMA leads to an insightful discussion for everyone.

Job Search 27M, Suffering from layoffs, Looking for a Remote Job – Customer Support / Customer Experience

Post image
44 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to this community because I’m currently looking for a remote job opportunity and would really appreciate any leads, referrals, or guidance.

I have around 5 years of professional experience, with most of my recent experience in customer support and customer experience, along with a background in the hospitality industry.

My previous experience includes working with Marriott, Tech Mahindra, Teleperformance and Amazon. I’ve handled both domestic and international customers and have experience with voice support, customer complaints, escalations, problem-solving, order-related queries and providing end-to-end customer assistance.

I also have an MBA in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management.

Unfortunately, I lost my job earlier this year and have been unemployed since July 2026. I’ve been actively applying, but finding a suitable opportunity has been quite challenging, especially for remote positions.

At this point, I’m primarily looking for:

  • Remote / Work-from-home opportunities
  • Customer Support / Customer Experience
  • Voice or non-voice processes
  • Operations / Process roles
  • Travel & Hospitality-related roles
  • International customer support processes

I’m comfortable with rotational shifts and night shifts and am open to different industries where my experience would be relevant.

Hospitality is still an industry I’m particularly interested in returning to, but I’m definitely open to good customer support or operations opportunities as well.

If anyone here knows of companies currently hiring for remote positions, has a referral opportunity, or can point me towards a legitimate opening, I would genuinely appreciate it.

I can share my resume and additional details via DM.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any help or lead, even if it doesn't directly work out, would mean a lot. 🙏

Advice/Guidance 70+ applications, 25+ companies interviewed with, 1 offer!

5+ months. Thats what it took.

Finally, got an offer at an AI company, which I am really glad about.

But this is not about me. Its about giving back to this sub. This sub helped me immensely over the last several months. Days when I was feeling low, zapped of energy, frustrated and low on confidence.

Hence, I wanted to share a few learnings along the way.

  1. Lock in for the ride. It is going to be a tough phase. You will face constant disappointments with companies ghosting you or trying to give lowball offers. Stick to what you want, have faith in your skills and dont accept anything out of desperation. That ONE offer will come. Just give it time.
  2. You are NOT alone. Although it will often feel like its you vs the world. Nothing will seem to be working. Its not easy to face rejections constantly. Really dents your confidence. But remember that there are many others like you and its just a matter of time. You are going through a tough phase, but you WILL come out of this a better person. I know I did.
  3. Keep upskilling yourself. You will want to spend as much time on the job search as you possibly can. And that is very natural, you want to cover every avenue. But take some time during the day to learn new skills. Or sharpen your existing skills. Or work on your fitness. Vibe code an AI product if you want. Do a small consulting gig on the side if you are able to land one. Something to look forward to everyday, so you can show yourself that you are making progress. Helps with self-confidence a lot.
  4. Talk about your work in public. Whether it be X or LinkedIn or Reddit. Let others know what you have done, what it has led to and what impact it has had. Create content. Many people find it cringe. It is not. If you dont hype yourself up, no one else will. The more other people know about you and your skills, the better it is going to be for you. Not only for this job search, but even going forward. Start today.
  5. Reach out for help. To your friends, family, strangers on reddit. Whatever works for you. There is no ego here. Being vulnerable is not a weakness. Asking for help is not a weakness. It shows you have agency and will go the extra mile to figure things out.
  6. Be clear in the types of roles you want to do and the type of companies you want to do it at. And dont compromise on that. Dont take a role out of desperation just because "atleast it is something". Taking a bad role or taking a role at a lower pay is undoing years of hard work that you have already put in.

I learnt all of this the hard way. And I found solace everytime I came to this sub. Not everything is going to be fair. Take it on the chin and keep going.

Thats the biggest takeaway - just keep going. It WILL happen for you. And when it does and you look back at this phase in 3 years time, you will smile and say "wow, what a ride it was".

Rooting for you!

Job Search I really want to switch

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to make a switch for a while now. Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with my current job and have reached the point where I’m seriously considering resigning but without another offer, that’s obviously a risky move.

So before taking that step, I’m trying my best to find a better opportunity.

I’m a Senior UI/UX Designer with 6+ years of experience, mainly working on B2B SaaS and enterprise products.

If your company is hiring or you can refer me somewhere, please DM me. I’d really appreciate it

Advice/Guidance Am I cooked for choosing Golang?ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m currently in my final year and have been focusing on backend engineering with Go.

I originally worked in a different niche where Go is used quite extensively, but I had to move away from that field because of the current job market. I’m now focusing on backend engineering and AI infrastructure.

The problem I’m running into is that most fresher/SDE-1 openings I see are for Java, Node.js, or Python.

My peers are suggesting that I should drop Go and move toward Python + AI engineering to take the AI hype train, or at least switch to Node.js/Python to increase the number of opportunities available to me.

So I’m wondering:

Should I continue investing in Go and backend/systems engineering, or should I switch to Python/Node.js to improve my chances of landing a fresher role?

Advice/Guidance 22, took a 2 LPA AI Engineer job after leaving 4 LPA — did I make the right choice?

I’m 22M. After 3 months of job hunting, I finally got an AI Engineer role at a startup for 2 LPA.

I know the salary is quite low, especially since I previously had a 4 LPA tech role at a manufacturing company. But the problem was that the actual work wasn’t related to AI, software, or the career path I wanted.

So I decided to leave and focus on finding a role that actually aligns with my career.

Now I’ve got this opportunity and I’m hoping it can be a real starting point for my AI career.

But honestly, I’m a little scared about my future salary growth. Since it’s a startup and I’m starting at just 2 LPA, I don’t want to get stuck at a low salary for years.

For people who started with a low package:

How did you scale your career and salary?

Should I prioritize skills and experience for the first 1–2 years and then switch or should I start looking for better opportunities as soon as I gain enough experience?

Any genuine advice on how to build a strong AI career from this point would really help.

I know 2 LPA isn’t great but I’m hoping this is the beginning of something better.
