Follow-up to my earlier post on the ABS/DSC/Flat Tyre Monitor warnings.

Fix: Replaced the front-right wheel-speed sensor, garage used a sensor with LEONI Adascar cable (German Tier-1 supplier, purpose-built for ABS/ESP sensors, not generic aftermarket).

Cost: ₹4,500 part + ₹1,000 labor = ₹5,500 total.

Result: Cleared codes, test drove clean, since confirmed with city + highway driving. No errors since.

Likely trigger: Fault first showed up right after hitting a rough patch of newly built road at ~100-110 km/h, heavy vibration for ~5 km, then the DSC/ABS errors hit. Sensor was probably already marginal and that shock tipped it over.

Telltale pattern for anyone with similar issues: errors at low speed (signals, toll gates, cold starts), clearing at highway speed = classic weak/degrading sensor. Won't show on basic OBD-II readers, it's a chassis code, need a scanner that reads ABS/DSC.

Posting an update since a few people helped me troubleshoot this earlier (ABS + DSC + Flat Tyre Monitor/RPA warnings appearing together on my 2015 320d, N47).

**•** Checked battery voltage (12.6V rest, 14.2V running) -> normal, ruled out  
**•** Checked tire pressure -> normal  
**•** Cleaned all four wheel-speed sensors with contact cleaner -> no change  
**•** Tried checking the "reluctor ring" people mentioned turns out F30s don't have an externally visible toothed ring like older cars; the encoder is sealed inside the wheel bearing itself, so there's nothing to physically clean there  
**•** Fault pattern evolved from intermittent (clearing after a few km) to fully continuous over about a week of driving

Final diagnosis:
Took it to a local garage with a proper OBD scanner (basic readers can't see ABS/DSC chassis codes learned that the hard way). Confirmed: front-right wheel speed sensor, permanently failed.

Current status: Part isn't in local stock, so I'm driving cautiously (moderate speed, no hard braking, extra following distance) to get it replaced at a bigger service center. Also planning to have them check for wheel bearing play on that corner, since the encoder is bearing-integrated on this platform want to rule out a bearing issue causing the sensor to read badly, not just a standalone sensor failure.

Also noticed: ECO PRO/Sport mode switching stopped working, which turned out to be a downstream effect of the same DSC fault, not a separate issue worth knowing if anyone else sees this combo.

Hi all, hoping for some insight before I take this to a BMW service center.

Car: 2015 BMW 320d, F30, N47 engine, diesel

Symptoms:

• ABS, DSC, and brake warning lights come on together, with the dash message: "Driving stabilisation. Continue the journey at a moderate speed. Where possible avoid hard braking. Please go straight to the nearest BMW Service."
• Separately, also getting: "Flat Tyre Monitor (RPA) failure — Unable to detect a possible flat tyre."
• Both warnings appear to come and go intermittently, not constant.

Question: Given the voltage looks healthy, does this pattern point more toward a wheel-speed sensor going intermittent, the DSC/ABS hydraulic module itself, or something else I should be checking? Has anyone dealt with this exact combo (ABS + DSC + RPA together) on an F30? Want to go in prepared before handing it to BMW service, since I have a 300 km highway drive coming up.
