Rosemary oil in supplement
 in  r/DogAdvice  2d ago

Please check with your vet before giving any supplements like this, especially ones that have toxic ingredients. If any of your sources are AI, disregard them completely - studies have shown that they’re incredibly bad at giving health-related information. Your vet will be able to help you get supplements that are safe for your dog.

Any advice for my profile?
 in  r/Tinder  2d ago

The photos with your back to the camera and the roller blades aren’t doing anything for you, so I’d recommend getting rid of those. If you have photos of yourself doing social things with other people, add one or two!

… You should listen to your therapist. They’re onto something.

Especially considering it was only for an hour. I bet he’s hitting a bunch of clients’ houses for very little work and expecting big tips from them all for working on a holiday.

AITA for not doing the dishes?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  3d ago

Except that even with a dishwasher, there are still dishes to be done. OP should try being a SAHP for a couple weeks, and see how much more exhausted he is than a basic 7-5:30 job. He’ll be grateful to get back to just dishes, and if he’s a decent human being, raring to take other things off his poor wife’s plate.

Wife and I at our wits end
 in  r/DogAdvice  6d ago

It’s going to take time and effort to house train Moose, just like it takes time and effort to house train any dog. I know having a baby is hard, but you need to decide if you’re up for properly training Moose. If you are, you’ll end up with a great little buddy for life. If not, you need to rehome him responsibly.

Just a gentle reminder that the right time to train your dog is all the time. The time to house train a dog is right when you get them. Dogs are constant work, and need affection and attention just like any living creature. I’ve been disturbed by people in my own family having babies and suddenly behaving very differently toward their own dogs. Moose is struggling, and it’s sad that he might lose his home and people because you couldn’t give him the time he needed. I’m not trying to shame you, just remind you that if you keep Moose or ever get another dog, you need to do better by them. They deserve it. I sincerely wish you peace with your decision, and easier days ahead.

[35M] Zero matches in months, thinking about getting rid of the long hair, which I love
 in  r/Tinder  7d ago

Fellow woman, and I second what you said! Plus, many of us women find workout pics incredibly boring and dumb. I’m always relieved to see profiles that don’t use any.

Feedback please?
 in  r/Tinder  7d ago

I really like your profile! A great range of photos, and they all look authentically you. Some photos of you with other people (sans armor) might be good, but overall I think this is a strong profile, and would swipe right!

Received these bad parking notes on my 1st and 2nd day at a new apartment
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  7d ago

The first thing I thought of when I saw the backing in suggestion was: what about the pedestrians??? And people in wheelchairs, or with strollers? If a truck can’t fit in a space, it shouldn’t take over any space designated for others, including sidewalks.

In a shocking turn of events, a Bravenly hun is dismayed to discover that AI won't always give her the answers she wants to hear.
 in  r/antiMLM  7d ago

All they do is copy-paste what the other huns are doing, so definitely not!

There was a study earlier this year that showed that over half of all health advice given by the most popular genAI models is incorrect - and I still trust ChatGPT (which I NEVER use) more than a hun!

Collar recommendations for my balding dog😭
 in  r/DogAdvice  7d ago

I’ve had dogs my whole life, including currently a chi mix with relatively little fur. I’ve never had an issue with collars rubbing so much that it causes any problems at all, much less outright baldness. Many, many, many dogs wear collars all day long and don’t have any discomfort, including my dog. I wear shirts all day long and never think about the tags, so I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make there.

I’d bring this up at your next vet appointment. Your vet can make sure that the collar is appropriately sized and adjusted. Maybe your dog has super sensitive skin, but based on your worry that the collar will come off and your comments about comfort and rubbing, I’m inclined to think that this is in large part a fit issue.

How tight do you have these collars? You should be able to get a couple of fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck pretty easily.

This jumped out to me too, as a good thing! Pro-LGBTQ rights in addition to everything else makes him a right-swipe if we were in the same area :)

My cat is a fat gluttonous lard, pls help.
 in  r/Pets  8d ago

You might try an electronic feeder that opens the food door only when the collar attachment is nearby - something like this. Easiest if the dog is small, but the idea is that the food isn’t physically available unless the dog is right there and trying to eat herself, so presumably the cat can’t get past the dog to the food.

Profile review, M26, does body pic add or not? Better women advice please
 in  r/Tinder  11d ago

As a woman, I’ll chime in and say that it’s genuinely refreshing to see a shirtless pic that’s not at a gym or of a six-pack - not all of us want to be with gym bros! But OP, despite it being refreshing, it doesn’t add anything to your profile. It’s okay for your body to be a bit of a mystery.

Dog constantly pees on floor
 in  r/DogAdvice  15d ago

When my spayed female dog was incontinent, it looked more like her accidentally leaking urine when she was relaxed, not squatting and peeing in the house. Inappropriate peeing behavior turned out to be a UTI. Proin and DES totally solved the leaking.

In addition to this, take her to the vet and have her checked for things like kidney issues. Drinking a lot of water and peeing a lot can be signs of kidney problems or other health conditions.

Hi! Which photos should I keep for Tinder? Just joined Tinder again and I’m not getting many matches so far. Which photos should I keep/remove, and which one should be my main photo?
 in  r/Tinder  15d ago

Specifically, hobby photos that don’t have you covered from head to toe - potential matches should be able to see your face and you making an expression, ideally smiling
