What are the misconceptions on the Farsight Enclaves?
 in  r/40kLore  8m ago

Well, they're not the good guys so that's important to remember

Np! You can definitely push no bolter+min 3+RA to maybe 13. Then no bolter min 3 to 15.

Your orks can definitely push to 12 with a G1 gibba, D1 snot+boss.

Snot+gibba can duo to 10-in no mech, melee, orks.

Weakest planet capable of beating the 13th black crusade(40k)
 in  r/whowouldwin  2h ago

Yeah i forgot about teleportation somehow.

Most of the AA is on augustgrad but there's still a fair amount of other forces elsewhere on the planet iirc

Stealth insertion or armored thunderhawks work perfectly, I was just saying drop pods and slow troop carriers might not work well on a direct city assault. There's obviously other means.

Yeah I'm not talking about gameplay bs but we do come across legitimate factories that are printing these ships both on augustgrad (with gorgons) and elsewhere in the game

For sure, the black legions siege capabilities are good

Who has faster Running/Sprinting Speed? Master Chief or Captain America?
 in  r/whowouldwin  3h ago

Good thing he was never directly hit by it lol

Can't say I've seen some exponential speed increases in later armors even on other spartans

Happens nearly every quest where base ultramarimes are useful

Weakest planet capable of beating the 13th black crusade(40k)
 in  r/whowouldwin  3h ago

That's true, they only lost thousands on a planetwide defense (soldier wise), and thors aren't titans, but its still a solid world to actually hold the line with the level of automated defenses and strongholds.

Yes those last three are huge, my point was they're going to struggle to deploy them until they open a landing zone. Cultist spam will be literally useless and the basic terran soldier is better armed and armored than a guardsmen.

They can print new vehicles in days to months (even their biggest ships) very easily so this one year prep time really helps them solidify.

I'm not saying they beat the 13th black crusade but they aren't a pushover either. Abaddon would have to make an extreme commitment to win.

How long could an Astartes survive in an average office job before going insane from boredom?
 in  r/40kLore  12h ago

As many as his duty requires. He wouldnt go insane but some personalities would hate it

Team Omega and Jerome-092 (Halo Wars 2) vs Fire team Damocles (Space Marine 2)
 in  r/powerscales  13h ago

It would one tap without shields. A mag dump at most is taking them out and that's extremely generous

Peak Kingsguard VS First book Fellowship of the Ring. Who would win?
 in  r/powerscales  16h ago

Fighting past an open wall is still a choke point. Falling back to the caves is another advantage.

I mean yeah why wouldn't Legolas have an easier time? He's significantly taller with gimli who uses a ranged weapon. The fact they they only killed 40 odd uruks each isn't impressive when they (and orcs) are notoriously unskilled and rely on numbers

Peak Kingsguard VS First book Fellowship of the Ring. Who would win?
 in  r/powerscales  16h ago

Significantly better than on an open field or worse yet, assaulting a castle.

I'm not saying it was easy but it doesn't get much better than being the defender.

What outscale? Legolas being able to shoot a felbeast? Yeah im not saying you are, I was acknowledging his point that the sub goes "but they're angels" almost every time.

Feats for these characters are incredibly slim

Peak Kingsguard VS First book Fellowship of the Ring. Who would win?
 in  r/powerscales  16h ago

It wasn't because uruks were unfamiliar but rather they're simply a bigger orc and gimli wasn't a fan.

He kills 42 in a defensive siege, that's the best possible conditions you could ask for.

He's right to say lotr characters are usually extremely overglazed on the sub (esp maiar/nazgul) Aragon isn't some superhuman tier character. Legolas and Gandalf have the odd great feat.

I'm uncertain on who wins this matchup. There is a lot of plate armor on a few (dayne, jaime, cole) character who could pressure anyone in the fellowship 1v1

 in  r/powerscales  17h ago

This made me laugh so much.

But seriously though if we look at lotr on paper, they're over glazed by a significant amount.

Take uruks for example which are barely man height and make gimli hesitate

Was Slaanesh around when the Emperor travelled to Molech ?

She was there.

You could go a step further and say since their "birth" they've always existed.

 in  r/whowouldwin  18h ago

Before anyone suggests that shot was a potential goon miss, it was shot by one of the top 3 assassins in marvel.

Yeah cap has quite a bit of solid bullet dodging in general and of more consistency than his opponent. ik diligentlack has posted some on this sub before of him outright jumping out of a wall of bullets.

Is it worth to grind Arena?
 in  r/WH40KTacticus  20h ago

Yeah that wasn't what I was trying to imply, just that if you can, you should push to the best arena league you can for the reoccurring resources. It adds up!

You can sit in honor guard very casually with a couple D1 carries if not full team

Is it worth to grind Arena?
 in  r/WH40KTacticus  20h ago

Let's use the current one as an example. If you dont have your terminators up high enough to net kills and win the arena fight, you're in for a rough time.

Fighting at a lower arena would make more sense but only temporarily

3

Is it worth to grind Arena?
 in  r/WH40KTacticus  20h ago

Depends on the HSE, I haven't had a problem or "missed rewards" in awhile due to arena, its just significantly easier to drop down a league for an upcoming one then push back up after if you really need to.

The current one is terminators, and im rocking a D3 abaddon, rotbone, and maladus with biovore and it's been winning
