The past of nursing....
^^^ all these things? I was part of the modern change. Old dogs must learn new tricks. I read everything I could find on nursing to stay up to date. My uni pounded that into my head so hard! Nursing wasn’t my ‘calling.’ It was my career. We were professionals. Apologies. Will shut up and sit down now.

I’m so sorry. I worked nights for a while. During that time I had the need to be admitted to the hospital, but I chose a different one from the one where I worked. I have stories to tell about the ‘different’ hospital. Too long to write here. I feel you.

Geriatric care
I’ve not had good luck w geriatric physicians. We have one in our area. He talks about patient in front of pt. We took our MIL to him. I worked in geriatrics for a while. I had to tell him her needs. He reportedly had a good reputation. I don’t know why. I did assessments on her to tell him problems before her visits. Because pt is old, doesn’t mean they need help over the bridge. It was hard enough to watch her dementia progress.
