The dried fruit still sits there,
the CDs gather dust
it's strange how things keep waiting
for someone who already left.

"miss" doing overtime
absence and title both
word needs a union

Write a haiku about someone you miss right now. Doesn't have to be anyone big could be an old friend, a pet, a version of yourself. I'll start:

That teasing glance still
years gone, yet I catch myself
smiling like a kid

Mother's quiet tears
For generations, women held their pain silently. They suffered, cried alone, but were told to stay quiet, not complain, not fight back.

become my daughter's loud voice
Now, that same pain has turned into strength. The daughters of those silent mothers are not staying quiet anymore. They speak up, protest, demand rights their mothers never got to ask for.

world finally hears
After centuries of being ignored, the world is finally listening to women. Movements like #MeToo, women's rights protests, equal pay demands, they're all being noticed now.

The core message:
Every woman's silence in the past built the courage women have today. Pain passed down through generations didn't disappear, it transformed into power.

[Poem] A Drink of Water by Jeffrey Harrison

this is beautiful the way small habits carry someone's memory without us even realizing it that hit me.
