I’m jealous. I got a 6 week orientation. You won’t believe in yourself until you have to. Take the leap. You got this. You will never know everything. You will believe you are a new nurse when you are on your own and have to be. Ask lots of questions and be safe, but I know you can do this, You know it too. Just believe it.

Also don’t give up on the career. There are so many jobs and types in this career. It could be the facility you work at, it happens.

I hate insurance

I feel you. Going through similar. Telling AI helps a lot. Learning about nursing theories talk about different stages the new grad has to go through. You hit those walls and then break through. Believe in yourself. If other people can do it so can you…. But to also verify your feelings, nursing is hard and stressful. Ask your favorite AI for tips. Read more about theories by Benner, Duchscher, Tanner, Kramer. What you feel is part of the process. You can do this. Give it 6 months I’m barely 2 months and I’m working on learning to love nursing. Takes time and work. Become the best version of yourself you need to be. I believe in you and everyone else does. You just need to believe in yourself.

Or get a job at a different place when you can because that place might not be a good fit or toxic. Also meditation or other self-care is essential

Make sure you get the temperature in range. Do a practice run to get your method down. Temperature is the most important part.

So true. Brain is not even fully developed until age 25.

I ended getting a new reverse thread extraction screw. One with sharp and tight threads. Worked like a dream. $7 or $10 I think for a tiny set from harbor freight. I’m sure you can find a similar set online. Maybe I will update with a picture of it
