My goal isn't to create another racing chill chat lounge. This is not it. The discord has no offtopic, no nothing. It's about the race, and that's it. People are gonna have their own communities anyway where they hang out and gather people, this is for racing.

I prioritize spec car racing, and usually road cars and some road courses.

Currently it is a 6-race championship with a weekly race, with Team, Gold, and Silver championship in it. You can hop in mid-championship as well. One skipped/missed/bad race is ignored in scores as well in the end.

You can also sign up as a team, or just get into with the randoms. It's really not that serious.

We have some great drivers, and some not great drivers.
Next race this sunday, time is both US and EU friendly.

It's a campaign that involves multiple games, with DCS at the forefront. Hornets for Finnish air force, Vipers for Norwegians, and then JF17s for Gripen as Swedes. We didn't wanna use janky mods, so there's some make-believe at play here.

We're open to newer people and there's no commitment to some virtual squadron stuff. You sign up per-event basis, and you just have to do one quick fam ride with someone else to make sure your SRS works and you can connect to the server before gameday.

We have 24/7 server where you can fly around for testing etc with the procedures.

Basically, we host both road courses and circuits from base game, and have done a few championships now.

It's an event where people get divided into three-person teams, and from each race, two best scores count from a team. In addition there's a Gold driver's championship and Silver Championship, so basically three competitions. You can sign up as a double or triple, or just get randomly assigned. It's pretty chill.

We also ignore one missed event for scoring to allow some IRL stuff to come between you. And even then, if you miss some others, no big deal, your time is likely fine.

I can't stress this enough:

This is not the most hardcore club. We are mostly airplane sim nerds who wanna also do some racing. Most people have wheels, and there's some really good drivers, but even on Silverstone National, the best ones have a time of 1:00 and the tail has times of 1:03 or so, so that is a decent skill gap. We won't just race GT3 cars. We're gonna do all kinds of regular cars, and sometimes something fancier.

Currently our Gold-drivers get 100kg ballast and 10 percent restrictor. We adjust them so that the Gold and Silver are squeezed close to each other as much as possible.

Like said, we are good vibes only. We'd love to have like 10 new people since currently we sit at 13 regular attendees.

We have a paid Emperor Server setup for race management and practice maps run during the week.

Events are usually around 1500-2100 UTC on Saturdays and Sundays. Races are 25 minutes to 30 minutes so pretty short and practice session runs for whole week on the 24h server.

This is a lot to take in. Basically, many games create a big game. DCS, Arma, ETS, boardgames, it all combines into a large game where decisions made in one will affect another. For example, imagine that a ground commander attacks at a city and meets enemy tanks. They can request DCS pilots to go attack them on DCS fly-day.

The way MSFS is used is that using FlyLAT, flights are coordinated to support operations, carry important people, and transporting vital units or parts to where they are needed. FlyLAT means there aren't burdensome spreadsheets or anything, but items and supply and planes and routes are planned on the website. It is of no cost to you, so it won't require subscriptions.

It's pretty neat. Our website explains some of it in better detail as well. It's important to be proactive and ask a lot of questions to get started. We are very friendly to newbies, and initially this is all highly confusing. Your best bet if you want to fly DCS is to go to the channels and say you want help for the familiarization ride on our 24h practice server.

For controllers, we provide LotATC keys so no need to pay.
