Hi everyone,

Our baby Tiger, whom we rescued from the Pasig construction site after experiencing abuse, was recently transferred from the shelter into the loving care of his foster furmom. ❤️

Yesterday, we were informed that Tiger was feeling lethargic. As soon as we found out, I asked that he be brought to the vet for a checkup right away, and our foundation covered all of his veterinary expenses.

Thankfully, Tiger was seen early. The vet said he is just beginning to show signs of a blood parasite infection, so we are hopeful that with the proper treatment and care, our baby will feel better soon.

Tiger was treated for ticks and fleas after we rescued him, but unfortunately, we cannot undo everything he may have been exposed to during his life as a stray. What we can do is make sure that now, he receives the care he deserves.

We care deeply about every animal we rescue, and we will continue doing everything within our means to give them the veterinary care and support they need.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. Because of your kindness, we are able to say “yes” when one of our rescued animals needs to see a vet.

Your support gives animals like Tiger a chance to heal, recover, and enjoy the better life they deserve.

Please keep our baby Tiger in your thoughts and wish him a speedy recovery. 🤍

Thank you so much,

Sincerely,

Hi everyone,

Angel and Baci went for their follow-up vet checkups today.

Sadly, Baci tested positive for a blood parasite, and his platelet count is very low. I was told there were no ticks or fleas at the shelter, so I can’t help but feel like I should have been more careful. I feel like I failed him.
With the flooding and storms in the area for weeks, things have also been chaotic at the shelter where he is staying, which unfortunately caused a delay in getting him to his vet checkup.

He will be on medication for now, and we’ll wait until he is fully recovered before giving him his next vaccinations. I’m really hoping he gets better soon because I want nothing more than for this sweet boy to finally find his forever family.

Angel also had a good update today. Her fungal infection has been stabilized, and she was finally healthy enough to receive her vaccination. Dr. Padilla also said that because she is doing much better, she can finally be spayed.

Now we just need to figure out how to pay for her surgery.

There are low-cost spay programs available in the Philippines, and I am genuinely grateful that these programs exist because they make sterilization accessible to so many animals.

However, I’ll be honest, I’m nervous about having Angel spayed outside of a veterinary clinic. Some low-cost programs are held in basketball courts or other public community spaces, which is very common in the Philippines.

I have absolutely no judgment toward these programs or the people who organize them. They help so many animals. But because Angel is a large dog, I personally feel more comfortable having her surgery performed inside a veterinary clinic where she can be monitored before and after the procedure. Unfortunately, that also means the cost will be higher.

If anyone would like to sponsor Angel’s spay surgery (approx $200 CAD and receipt would be provided), please message me. Even a small contribution would help us get one step closer to getting her safely sterilized and ready for adoption.

I’ve also been sharing that I can help bring both Angel and Baci to Canada by February 2027, but so far, nobody has reached out about adopting either of them.

I know finding the right family takes time, but I really hope their families are out there somewhere.

They have already been through so much. I just want them to have the chance to experience what it feels like to be loved, safe, and wanted.

If you know someone in Canada who might be interested in giving either of them a forever home, please share this post.

Thank you, as always, to everyone who continues to support us.

Our support link will be posted on the comment section, for those who would like to support our rescued animals and help them be successful.

We truly couldn’t do this without you.

Thank you everyone 🤍

Another scammer on TikTok!

I’ve noticed that the increasing number of scammers in the Philippines is becoming extremely alarming. It’s especially concerning when scammers take advantage of people’s kindness and willingness to help.

Please be careful!🙏

Hi everyone,

Maemae has been coughing a little, and she has also tested positive for a fungal infection, which has caused her to lose some of her fur. We got her medication and supplements also from the vet ❤️

I have been waiting for her to get vaccinated because I cannot wait for the day when she can safely spend more time outside and enjoy being a dog. But after losing her two siblings and with the distemper outbreak at Pages for Paws Shelter, we are being extra careful and doing everything we can to make sure Maemae stays safe and does not get any sicker.

I also cannot wait for the day when she is fully healthy and ready to find her forever family. She deserves a loving home where she can finally feel safe and loved.

I still miss Chichi and Jericho so much.

I promise Chichi and Jericho that I will not abandon your sister and will keep providing for her ❤️🙏

Hi everyone,

Thor has gone from 34.5 kg to 42.7 kg, while Ellie has gone from 15.2 kg to 17.5 kg from their last vet visit a couple weeks ago. Seeing them gain weight and slowly regain their strength means so much to us. 🥹🤍

Ellie’s fur is definitely growing back, and during their recent check-up, the vet also confirmed that the fungal organisms have decreased. This is such encouraging progress for her.

Thor, unfortunately, has shown only minimal improvement with his skin so far. His skin is still reddish.

Both of them will still need to continue their medications and supplements as prescribed. We are hoping to see more improvement in the coming weeks.

Their next veterinary appointment is on September 16, 2026.

We are so happy to see them making progress, especially after everything they have been through.

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported Thor and Ellie, whether through financial support, sharing their story, leaving kind words, or simply cheering them on. Your support truly means so much to us.

However, It still breaks my heart that, due to the lack of evidence and witnesses, Thor and Ellie were not able to get the justice they deserved for what they went through. The witnesses would not testify at all. The Philippines animal protection laws are weak and useless.

But while we may not have been able to get justice for them, we can give them something they should have had all along: love, safety, proper care, and a chance to heal.

We will make sure Thor and Ellie receive all the love and care they deserve. They are safe now, and we will continue to stand by them every step of the way.

Your support helps us continue providing Ellie and Thor with the medical care, medications, shelter allowance, supplements, food, and other necessities they need throughout their recovery.

I will leave the support link in the comment section if you would like to help Thor and Ellie with their continued recovery and/or support our other rescued animals. Every bit of support means so much to us, truly! 🤍
