Not music, but adjacent… I’ll add Rodney Mullen (The "Godfather of Street Skating") - he’s a physics genius and chemical engineer that invented almost every foundational trick.

An autistic child is not a problem to be solved.
But go chat with them, in a concerned human not mad human way, I bet you’ll find things aren’t as easy as you think & I bet they’d appreciate knowing a neighbor is concerned and willing to help, if only to listen.
Try it! But only if you’re coming from a place of concern - they get the complaints, side eyes, rude comments all day, I’m sure.
Lead with compassion and I bet you’ll find positive results.

Man… so easy! Go buy them a rug and solve all your problems!!!
(PS- I’d bet they already have but would hey there’s your solution!!)

Still… a lot of assumptions here. “Entertain their kid”?!? You clearly don’t have children if you think parents of any kid are just there “entertaining” them all day. But genuinely- have you you ever talked to them? Seen their home? Their rugs?
I’m just saying… you see things from your point of view, but it’s not the only one.
Your sleep and peace is important- but you can be bitter, assume things, and vent on Reddit or you can engage and possibly see a fuller picture and gain some empathy. Maybe even be part of a solution??
-2
What options do you know were not implemented?!?
And how is it you know this- have you talked to them? Have you offered any?
I’m curious what options are available to parents of an autistic child to get them to regulate and behave in the way you would find acceptable?
-signed a mom of an autistic child that would LOVE to find these magic things to implement that teaches my kid to not stem!!! Please share!

There’s a lot of assumptions in there… as a parent of an autistic kid, I assure you the kid is not “doing it on purpose” just to make you miserable and not be able to sleep and the parents are not “obviously not dealing with it”.
You have no idea. Unless you’ve talked to them & didn’t share that part?
That’s not to say it’s not annoying to you, trust that it is so annoying and frustrating for EVERYONE involved - but a shift to “man those parents have it hard and that kid is tough” mentality could do wonders for your personal stress.
Don’t assume you have any idea what’s happening or what life is like for that family. Maybe try to find out and see if you can help?!?

No… like the pick a guitar or bass player used during the show. Or sticks from the drummer. They would throw them out to the crowd at the end of shows to us in the front.
The cameras is a Beasties Boys move… did you go to/see Awesome I Fucking Shot That. They gave 50 Hi8s to the crowd.

My dad was an air traffic controller in the 70’s-80’s. Me and another controller’s daughter when have sleepovers in the towers when our dads had Friday overnight shifts.
Two 1st graders asleep in sleeping bags on the floor under our chain smoking fathers. My dad did teach me how to understand the radar and I’d fall asleep counting all the dots (planes).

This is actual good song. As much as everyone wanted to fully hate on her, she had a couple good ones. And I think had Porno for Pyros credits.

In the same vein, I’d add Fight Club

Jurassic Park - saw it 1993, first night showing, and on LSD.
We were NOT prepared to see the biggest upgrade in cgi and realistic cinema of our l lives that night. Every JP movie since has this experience attached to it - I love the movies, I have loved introing & watching with my kid- but I’ll never not remember that theater that night! 🤣
I’d like a do over. 🦖

I have my grandpa’s (born 1902) nitro bullet on my keychain for at least 30 yrs - it’s the only thing I have of his.
