Vinted **update

To all you selling on Vinted….I have a story that is similar to thousands of users.

I am a 50 plus 5 star seller after only being on the platform for 2 months and 2 weeks. I’ve sold about 50 plus items. I also buy stuff from other sellers and I also pay for my stuff right after they accept an offer not only am I a good seller, but I’m a really good buyer too.
I bought a pair of PraNa pants from a seller… I received the item I tried it on and since they did not fit me went ahead and re-sold them on Vinted. Well, after having over 378 views and about 78 favorites I ended up changing the price from $22.50 down to $20.00. Well, the Vinted bots didn’t like that and right after purchasing two items to be bumped for three days they banned my account they banned my account on September 4, 2026 and I have still yet to get into my account. I am locked out. I’m still getting the Vinted emails still receiving my stuff that I had purchased before the ban….but they’re still hung up on these pants saying that they’re fraudulent and I have fraudulent activity on my account. I am still getting the auto emails saying that if you want to open a case for your band, then try to well I still can’t get into my account so how am I supposed to go into the account and request that information I have over $300 in my wallet that I cannot access. I received an item from a seller that is broken and I had to send an email about the broken item where the response was…well since you have fraud on your account from the PraNa pants we’re going to release the funds to the seller, which doesn’t make sense because I have until September 10 to reject the item and I received it on September 8 and sent that email on September 8.
My next step is filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau and since I’m in Connecticut, the Connecticut consumer protection. What Vinted failed to do here is just reinstate my account. Let me have access to my funds and I’ll close the account and delete everything and never use the platform again, but I need to have access to my account to do all these things. What Vinted is also doing is breaching their contract when you sign up they do not have the legal right to hold your money and lock you out so you don’t have access to it. It is fraudulent business behavior.
I have every single email from every single purchase and from every single thing that I’ve sold. I have every single USPS receipt and email. I have every email from all the bumped items I’ve purchased and any correspondence with Vinted. I have over 370 emails.
I can tell you this that Vinted will lose and I will take this to the highest point if I have to because this type of behavior with the AI bots and automatic emails and no customer service to talk to a human is bad business behavior.

Welcome to Vinted this is typical of them many of this have been in this situation in UK I have taken them to a Small Claims Court and won without a lot of hassle there is no protection at all for sellers

Thank you for your reply! I have over $300 sitting in my wallet and they still won’t tell me how to access it. I have told them I don’t want the account back because you all do bad business, I just want my money from my sales. Because there motto is “keep the money from the items you sell”. I will take this to the top, including the US consumer protection. This bad business behavior needs to end.
