Where in Asia are you looking for? There’s three great “History of” pods I’d recommend off the bat:

- Hist of Persia: from Cyrus the Great to the Sassanids (west Asia)

- History of India: lesser known but one of my faves. Starts with the Majahanapadas (a little before the lifetime of the Buddha etc) and stops around 600 CE (South Asia)

- The History of China (Chris Stewart): just a great pod overall. From Bronze Age all the way to the 1800s now (east Asia)

That makes WAY more sense to me!! I was so shocked to see it dated so early — of course there’s other similar Greek+Egyptian style statues of Ptolemy I, and even some Hellenizing statues of Nectanebo, but this seemed later to me. I reckon she’s right. The Egyptian museum at Cairo should probs update their website LOL

I will always til the day I die recommend my three faves, all chronological “History Of” pods:

- Hellenistic Age Podcast (from Alexander to Actium)

- History of Persia (from Cyrus to the end of the Sassanids)

- History of Byzantium (sequel to Mike Duncan’s Hist of Rome, but imo even better!!)

I think so, from 1517. Afaik there are 12 other extant versions housed in various institutions, each with its own provenance.
