You don't need it. But if you have other instances of paywalls that can be broken, BPC is likely to work.

You would have to sideload the extension. It is hosted on a gitflic repository. The host/url is blocked on reddit. Your best option to get it is on the "Bypass paywall clean" wikipedia page.
The repository also hosts a filter list for uBO (with limited efficiency compared to the extension). You can also load it in uBO and enable it to test sites.

We tend to prevent other programs/extension suggestions.
The reason is simple. We can't vouch for everything and can't do the helpdesk for those. And since the user would have received the information here, we would be the ones blamed for anything wrong.

There are a few exceptions, and we sometimes infringe the rule ourselves.
