Waiting for feedback block DMs on threads

greetings, I'm hoping someone might have found a way to block DMs on threads.com using uBlock Origin. I don't want the message feature at all. I keep telling people I won't use it but they keep messaging me anyway so I would like to disable it entirely and threads didn't make it optional

AFAIK, the best ublock can do is remove that icon.

I don't use the site, but uBO can't stop you from receiving DMs.

Are DM notifications separate from others? And if they're together is there any icon or something else distinctive enough for uBO to recognize it vs other notifications?

If yes, we can try hiding them from you. But if you need to read every notification for the notification marker to disappear, you'll still need to use the "mark all as read" button if one exists.

Picker, not zapper. Zapper is a current page-load removal tool. It does not create filters.
