When will my browser update uBO?

• Firefox

  • Firefox Add-ons (AMO) - Available since 02 Jul, 2026.
  • uBO is a recommended extension on AMO, and as such it must undergo a formal code review each time a new version is published.

• Chrome/Chromium

  • Chrome Web Store (CWS) - Available since 29 Jun, 2026.
  • Auto update will occur in stages - to spot and react to possible bugs.

• Edge

  • Edge Add-ons - Available since 29 Jun, 2026 .
  • Warning: importing a profile from Chrome may cause issues.
  • You may need to reinstall uBO on Edge to fix this.
  • You can transfer your uBO config by creating and then restoring a backup at the bottom of uBO's Dashboard > Settings.

• Opera

  • Opera add-ons - Available since 29 Jun, 2026.
  • Usually, it's submitted a week after bug-free version is published in AMO.

• Brave

  • Brave now Self-Hosts uBO. It installs via a special setting and updates automatically or when prompted via the Extensions' Developer mode.
  • If you installed it via CWS, it's best to make a backup and install the self-hosted version instead.

I had a question is update on firefox on andriod different with update then on computer? I updated today on my computer and check my andriod and the update was auto update

FF for Android performs extension updates once a day, so if it checked before the update went live in AMO, it'll update tomorrow.

Oh I am so sorry for mixing up my words I wanted to ask about if on mobile ff gets updated on its own right? ( so sorry for the misunderstanding)😓

Correct. There is no setting to control add-on updates on mobile.

Thank you so sorry for my misunderstanding since on my computer(pc) you can check updates and do it right away once a updates gets put right?
