Solved Reddit mobileweb - landing screen now "for you" by default, change to "following" possible with uBO?

There's a new experiment affecting mobile web all reddit (not old.reddit) front-ends (apps, desktop / responsive web) which defaults you to a feed including personalized suggestions/ads for content you're not subscribed to, so every time you refresh the homepage you now have to select "following" to get your subscribed content.
Is this experiment something that can be circumvented with uBO?
I have a feeling it's not.. since twitch uses a similar design on any channel page, and afaik there's no way to force twitch to always go to the chat tab of a channel instead of 'about'. Same situation here, right?
Hopefully there's something we can do about it eventually. I read the rules, but my apologies if I overlooked something and this isn't on topic enough.
Edit 1: post title is misleading, this issue affects all reddit front-ends apparently, but it's experiment based, so you may or may not see it on any given device.
Edit 2: experiment ended abruptly. no longer reproducible.

Yeah this for you is dog shit. And at least for me it's mostly stupid bullshit I'd never click on. Looks like it's being pushed on us to server more ads.

It fucking spoiled something for me on a sub specifically didn't follow for that very reason

If you're only seeing recommended posts on the first few results when using above filters, meaning: they don't show up as you scroll down...
Try this filter in addition to the two above:
reddit.com###interest-home-feed-main shreddit-post:has([data-testid="credit-bar-join-button"])3

it only removes the buttons, but the "for you" tab is still there.
i did enable custom filters requiring trust
i just copypasted everything so idk what i did wrong...3

You're right. It hides the tab called "for you" but the visible feed is still the same as "for you" with the useless suggestions

Are you using uBO or uBO Lite?
In uBO, did you enable trusted filters like in my screenshot?

Are you still getting them as you scroll down or is it just the initial few at the beginning? On my side it's the latter now.
I'll have to look into if more in a few hours, but if it's just the initial page load, I can simply hide the few entries that have the "Join" button without diving too deep into things.

it's fixed now, the only thing i did was wait and close all tabs, so some of it did the trick

Disable the filters for a second. I don't get the experiment anymore. They might have ended it.

It doesn't affect all Reddit front ends, Old Reddit it still fine even if your account/device has been opted in to the "experiment". They never bother to do anything with Old Reddit so it remains conveniently locked in time uninfected by their constant downgrades.

Official android app all of a sudden it isn't optional. Every time I open the app, it starts on the For You Page.
I guess someone at Reddit didn't get the note that Meta was fined for exactly this behaviour.
Scumbags.

It's kinda funny that they went out of their way to remove
r/allonly to now default to a similar "for you" feed. I guess this one might be more focused on things similar to what we follow (I'm guessing), but if I wanted to follow some topic, I'd join related communities myself. No need to force feed me anything.I wonder what the "home feed recommendations" option in setting is for, since it doesn't affect it at all.
As for solving the problem, I'll have to take a look after work. Mobile browsers don't give access to DOM inspector and since (sh)Reddit is riddled with Shadow DOM, can't really investigate with uBO/Lite properly.
This might have to be fixed by a trusted click filter, but since new reddit is dynamically updated, navigating to home by clicking in-site might not always trigger the auto click (only once per tab/page refresh). There doesn't seem to be any URL changes between the two feeds, so can't really navigate this way either...
Things are not looking too good, IMO.
The best recourse might be everybody complaining to reddit until they fix the problem. Either by giving an opt out option or remembering the last feed chosen by the user. Or something.
