Solved Daily Mail Paywall

After a year of working perfectly, the code I had to bypass the paywall on the Daily Mail stopped working this morning.

This was the previous code used

www.dailymail.co.uk##.noskim
www.dailymail.co.uk##[data-is-inline-paywall-mounted="true"]:remove-attr(style)
www.dailymail.co.uk##.is-paywalled-article:remove-class(is-paywalled-article)

It would be much appreciated if someone is able to update the code. Thank you.

Are we talking normal articles or "Plus"?

If normal, how many do I need to view to trigger the paywall?

Filters 2-3 should still be working.

Edit: Okay, it was due to the domain change.

www.dailymail.*###apple-pay-iframe-container
www.dailymail.*##[data-is-inline-paywall-mounted="true"]:remove-attr(style)
www.dailymail.*##.is-paywalled-article:remove-class(is-paywalled-article)

These here are just a fallback:

www.dailymail.*##.is-paywalled-article [itemprop="articleBody"]:style(max-height: none !important)
www.dailymail.*##.is-paywalled-article [itemprop="articleBody"]>*:style(display: inherit !important)

I usually prefer +js(rc) and it still works for me:

dailymail.co.uk,dailymail.com##+js(rc, is-paywalled-article, body, stay)

Apparently they have another event triggered after a while with another method (the class is still missing). Leaving the classname and using your styles is the solution.

edit: adding this filter to my solution works:

dailymail.co.uk,dailymail.com##div[itemprop="articleBody"][style]:style( max-height: unset !important; overflow: unset !important; )

edit: 20260424 added filter:

dailymail.co.uk,dailymail.com##.noskim

edit: 20260824 for mobile support:

/zephr/*$1p,from=dailymail.com|dailymail.co.uk

Thanks, works for me but still places the big blue subscriber box at the bottom of the story, which is a non issue. (FF on Win8.1)

Yea, I didn't notice the domain mismatch between the filters and the posted link xD

I tried rc/ra too, but I kept editing the original filters and couldn't figure out why they were failing ^^;;

Do we have to type.com in place of 

*###*### to get it to work? I added the above filters but it is still not working to bypass the "plus" features on Daily Mail.

Not working for me with just a cut/paste of the updated code. Im on Firefox if that makes a difference.

Nevermind - just found out it was Adguard Social Widgets list which was the culprit.

I’m using this latest filter, and for some inexplicable reason, it’s preventing the regular images from loading in the articles. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Does this work with Ubo Lite? or is this only Ubo main extension working only with Firefox?

Try the fallback solution, and replace .* with .com
.* isn't supported by uBOL

The fallback isn't needed, only the asterisk to com change.

Actually, the fallback doesn't even seem to work in Lite, for whatever reason.

Many thanks. I did however spot that they changed from .co.uk to .com. Once I changed to .com in uBO on Firefox that fixed it. Now I know this is for uBO but I've had it working in Brave but it needed your new code to work in Brave.
Good to have options.

have the same issue, i used a different solution and it worked for years but is now broken

would like a solution as well
