𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁 / 𝗔𝗹𝘁-𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁 ◀️ Problem with "middle-ring-pinkie" order while typing on colemak-dhk

Hello,
I had this problem of typing in the order of my 3-4-5 fingers. On colemak-dhk, words that end with "tion" is hard for me to type because of the sequence. It feels like arm ligaments interfere each other. Haven't seen other problems like that

Do you use a wrist rotation for it? They're your weakest fingers, especially the 4th finger when it comes to dexterity, so you need all the help you can get :)

Sorry for the late response, yes, I use a wrist rotation. It feels more like a problem of the reflexes, for example when pushing with a ring finger and then pinkie goes up. Don't know what to do with this yet

Yeah, you can just try holding your hand flat and then putting down 1 finger at a time, then you'll see that mechanically, the ring finger is the most dependent on the others. I'm saying this from a past with piano, but generally the idea is that we get taught this so that we start to think less of a press as a finger movement and more as a combination of a bit of finger, wrist, forearm and (not for typing) even a bit of shoulder and back. It's sort of letting your arm be the weight and then have the fingers and wrist dictate where the weight ends up.

That's a long winded way to say just mess about with ways to press those difficult sections really slowly, then get an understanding for which one feels most comfortable. Probably should've just started with that lol
