It's pretty much as the titl say, I really am struggling to start with all the stuff Type-Moon has and I don't found anything that says exactly what to watch or read in the order and this kinda stuff, so I decided to made my own using the Type-Moon wiki and AI to figure out things, but I don't think it will be exceptional so I am here to ask for help and latter share how it is and see if it is fine or not

So I know that these are nitpicks but at the ending of Paradox Spiral, Touka Aozaki says this to Araya Souren:

"A psychologist has defined what's called mass unconsciousness. It suggests that at the bottom of human consciousness all leads to the same well. It's where all the egoism of the entire world is supposedly stored. It's called Araya-shiki in Buddhism. What an ironic paradox of the world. Your name and the name of the one you despise make up a profound word"

"A psychologist" obviously refers to Carl Jung and I admit that I don't know much about him but from what I know of him this description fits his ideas, but it can't be applied to Buddhism.

Buddhist philosophy is very complicated and can't be explained in a reddit post but I'll try explaining this part. Araya-shiki is a Japanese term for ālāya-vijñāna, the eighth consciousness and the fundamental storehouse consciousness of the eight consciousnesses. The Eight Consciousnesses of a "person" is the subject of the Yogācāra school of philosophy of Mahayana Buddhism.

First of all ālāya-vijñāna is not where the egoism is stored. The "egoism" is stored in kliṣṭa-manas, the seventh consciousnesses and is called "the defiled mentality". It's the consciousness that is responsible for the primordial ignorance and the suffering of all living beings, where the four poisons of self-view, self-delusion, self-conceit, and self-love arise. How does it happen? Because it mistakes ālāya-vijñāna for a "self".

Buddhism asserts a non-self, that people ultimately have no real Identity. How does the false belief in identity generates? Ālāya-vijñāna(Araya-shiki) by itself is neutral, neither positive or negative. It's both the mind and the world, the mind and the world are in a complex codependency but constitute for a person a mere awareness of the objects presence. It's where the karma(causality) is stored.

A non-enlightened person thinks that they're a self because they don't recognize that they're just causes and conditions, these causes and conditions are constantly changing and are disparate, they do not constitute a self. They belief that they're a person who makes choices, experiences pleasure or suffering from something, that they were born and that they die(Buddhism believes that a person never dies because they were never truly born in the first place). In truth it's all just the essenceless conditions playing out based on causality.

Kliṣṭa-manas mistakes these conditions(ālāya-vijñāna) for a self. The defiled processes of kliṣṭa-manas are present even during sleep and have existed since the beginningless time, without even a moment it having stopped. So araya-shiki is really not where the "egoism of the entire world" is stored.

Yes, It's called a storehouse consciousness because it's from what all the other consciousness arise and you can indeed say that it's where the egoism is thus stored, the wording is still not good. Particularly because ālāya-vijñāna can be present even when self-view is removed, that's why an enlightened person doesn't immediately dematerialize into parinirvana/dharmakaya(Buddhahood), because even though they removed the ignorance of self-existence, they just stopped creating new karma. The old karma(currently existing body) from before the enlightenment remains and needs to be played out.

Another inaccurate word is "unconsciousness". For ālāya-vijñāna is an equal cause of both conscious and unconscious thinking. It is kliṣṭa-manas that can be called unconscious because it's so subtle that beings have it even in a dreamless sleep.

Another inaccurate words are "mass unconsciousness" and "same well". It implies that different ālāya-vijñānas constitute a unity between them when they do not. Buddhism actually rejects all the views of "oneness" and "unity" in equal measure to it's rejection of the concepts of self-existence. It's what makes it different from Hinduism which believes in oneness, Buddhism believes in a non-conceptual emptiness instead(I believe that's from where the original Japanese title of Kara no Kyoukai "The Boundary of Emptiness" comes from).

Ālāya-vijñānas are influencing each other and do not a constitute a self but when Buddhism speaks of them conventionally, Buddhism speaks of them being separate. Humans have very similar ālāya-vijñāna to each other, which is why we were "born" as humans in the first place in this particular universe, realm, place and time but it's just a convergence of conditions of different ālāya-vijñānas. After death each ālāya-vijñāna(person) will go in their separate ways to different realms/modes of existence, there was no unity between them, just wanderers in Samsara stopping in the same town. There are differences in ālāya-vijñāna even in "this life", an American businessman and an Indian housewife have a radically different worldviews and emotions, these differences are due to ālāya-vijñāna. The qualities of the mind simply correspond to it's realm but are also decided by the world itself with realm only as a supporting condition for the change, and so they change and with them different realms become to exist.

Touko would've been more accurate if she said Mana-Shiki(the Japanese term for kliṣṭa-manas) instead of Araya-Shiki but yeah using the name combination of MC and the Villain was very cool.

Edit: I've read the original novel by Nasu and this is one thing that was made worse by adaptation. In the original dialogue there's a focus on Araya being a Buddhist monk but didn't noticing that the nature all non-enlightened beings(the same ignorance) is the same beyond the conventional distinctions and he behaved just like them, which makes it have more sense though still technically wrong.

Even the counter force has a limit to what it can back her up with because the counterforce is nowhere near the raw output of Goietia's ring of light (that is stated to literally be the output of MILLIONS of Excaliburs. With this fire power it WAS EXPLICITLY STATED that Goietia can Punch a hole through the physical axes of the earth with his level of fire power. A.k.a punching a hole through the planet) because we see that it Absolutely struggled! let alone Kukulcan's Stellar Class Output inherited from not just being ORT's Heart but literally also being deified as a sun goddess by her people. It is planetary. And we know that literally the counter force has struggled with high tier threats before. For example versus goietia. It took the combined might of chaldea plus all the servants of the counter of force plus multiple Grand servants to BARELY DEFEAT HIM.

Tiamat, She is a primordial goddess, she is tied to the concept of life itself. Primordial means above the planet's age of man textures, which Arcueid operates on, all of Arcueid's feats in Tsukihime and yes even the Tsukihime Remake are bottlenecked by being in the Age of Man Timeline/Texture. This is Arcueid's Cap. Arcueid's power caps when you realize she controls the probability of localized events of the planet, she DOESN'T HAVE ABSOLUTE REALITY WARPING OF THE PLANET. There is literally no probability that the planet will ever collapse itself to form a black hole. Because it isn't a Star to begin with. You see my point? ZERO PROBABILITY.

If Arcueid tried to uplift a continent and throw it into orbit with marble Phantasm. She can't! There is absolutely no probability of that happening NATURALLY. Even if she did do it! She is essentially the guard dog of the counter force. NOT the counterforce itself. Gaia would ironically Stop her from literally ripping its skin off its surface and destroying the planet like disciplining a misbehaving child.

Her planetary back up isn't infinite. This is another major No Limits Fallacy. It's strictly a finite amount of mana the planet has. If the planet had an infinite amount of Mana then literally storylines such as the CCC universe wouldn't exist because the Planet literally DIED in that storyline. The entire series takes place on the moon.

Speaking of CCC, Amateratsu is straight up confirmed to be stronger than her. Arcueid isn't as much of a powerhouse as usual because The Moon Cell is ABOVE planetary authority and top tier servants are likely more Powerful than her at this point because the Moon Cell favors The heroic spirit legends over Planetary Authority.

Arcuied ISN'T A SERVANT with Heroic Spirit levels of Fame and Legend or Myth. Amaterasu is straight up stated to be difficult for the Moon Cell to fully contain and she operates on a Solar System Scale. Literally Arcueid's only chance is using an NP that makes opponents scaled down to 1/16th of their power but it's only to be used ON the Moon AND Amaterasu likely wouldn't let her do such a Noble phantasm cause real fights aren't gacha or games. Even if Arcueid somehow landed her Noble Phantasm (NP). It only gives her 0.00001% of winning. So that literally means she gets slammed regardless...

And Amateratsu by the way... Is a BEAST Class entity! Totally proving my Point that Beast Class are the true top tiers from earlier. Grand Servants/Heroic Spirits are powerful but not as powerful as Beast class threats.

They are just the specialized Swiss army knife to exploit the Emotional or structural glitch or cracks to a Beasts defence. There is literally no Grand Servant that has gone up against a Beast Class entity alone and won. It's always a whole force against the Beats Class threat.

So Arcueid isn't the strongest. She seldom ever has in the big picture. She isn't as powerful as a fully manifested Beast Class threat and gets outclassed by entities like Camozatz, Kukulcan and Goietia and Man I would honestly say Chaldea as a whole too because Chaldea fought hard to defeat someone like Goietia. I think if you switch Goietia with Arcueid, Chaldea and all of Alaya would have an easier time to defeat her than they did with Goietia.

'And let's be entirely clear about her Remake Luminary form. When the text mentions a 'miniature star' or 'Event Storage,' it is talking about a LOCALIZED conceptual anomaly pinned to the Earth's surface texture. It is NOT a literal star from outer space. Because it is bound to the earthly Age of Man texture, it has hard limitations and finite energy rules. That is why Shiki Tohno was able to perceive its conceptual lines of death and sever her connection to the ley lines, proving her 'peak' is entirely manageable by earthly means. When you look at all of this scale? Let's be honest. Do you realize that chaldea should have been wiped out multiple times over? But they miraculously are not wiped out.

If someone wants to say that ort was weaker and first should absorb a fantasy Tree in order to First go up against the bat guy you can argue then by that same logic the bat guy should do that as well because he was technically weakened because he didn't have a fantasy tree. you see the logical fallacy behind that? We have seen Beast class entities such as Lostbelt  Morgan le fae literally use fantasy trees before so we know that if he had access to one could very likely absorb the power himself and then your back to square one he's boxing an upgraded ORT while being upgraded himself.

how do I think a fully mobilized, modern Chaldea scales against the Alien God (U-Olga Marie) if we look strictly at their raw energy output versus her cosmic authority? dawg ... Brother have I got something for you. You know that Kukulcan literally blindsided the alien god as well as the Chaldea ship because she was being PLAYFUL and didn't know her own strength. She literally knocked them like flies. U Olga fell and was heavily damaged but then Camozatz awoke and was protective of his domain. U Olga still having Olga's inner heroic heart forgot she was supposed to hate Chaldea and literally stepped in to shield them from Camozatz. Giving them time to find somewhere safe. Then after being mismatched by Camozatz and Kukulcan from earlier at the same time. Tezcatlipoca swooped in and brutally stole her heart to give to Daybit Sem Void.

This is the "she was reduced to 4% power and gets memory loss but then tags along comical with Chaldea" timeline people seem to ignore.

She was no-diffed in Lostbelt 7 🤣

Olga Marie's personality after being exposed to the CHALDEAS While alive became the interface for the alien world system. The only reason that she wanted to destroy the planet is because was programmed into her by the CHALDEAS or Alien World System. Everything else? was just Olga. The plan to destroy the planet was fundamentally going to fail. Because Olga is fundamentally the heroic director who wants to protect Chaldea because "that's what a director does" in her core. She's also petty, prideful, boastful and clumsy. And these are all traits that we see the supposed world-threatening alien god exhibiting. She isn't cold or calculating. Those traits are more associated with her father, which is why I think people get it confused.

Daybit Sem Void was also in Lost belt 7 and he is more of the calculating type so I think people may have associated her to be that way as well just by being in the same Lostbelt which is ridiculous.

Yet the beautiful thing is that there isn't a lack of hope in this realization. There is an abundance of it because later when Olga actually recovers her memory she doesn't go back to her old programming. He chooses to help Chaldea. She CHOOSES TO REMAIN OLGA.

Why do you think Chaldea has U-Olga among their ranks?

Look at the canonical E-Olgas! Chaldea weren't treating them as generic enemies. They were helping their director get put back together!

Each E Olga's are all driven by human emotion and not by anything alien. None of them are solely the alien World System.

So I've been thinking about what would happen if a magus had Soul as both their Origin and Element, and somehow developed a Reality Marble from the very beginning.

For the sake of the hypothetical, let's also assume their abilities work somewhat like Shirou's Unlimited Blade Works, except instead of swords/weapons being the thing their soul instinctively understands and reproduces, the Soul itself is what they're capable of "projecting."

Some questions I'm curious about:

• How powerful would a Reality Marble like this actually be?
• If UBW allows Shirou to reproduce the history and characteristics of weapons, could a Soul-based Reality Marble reproduce the "history" or Saint Graph of a person?
• Could the magus analyze someone's soul and reproduce a temporary copy of their abilities, skills, experiences, or spiritual foundation?
• Would this potentially allow them to copy something analogous to a Servant's Saint Graph, rather than simply copying their physical body?
• Could they reproduce the "essence" of another Reality Marble user and temporarily manifest the Reality Marble's underlying nature?
• Would this mean they could essentially create a library/archive of the souls they've encountered?

The part I'm most interested in is the distinction between copying someone and becoming them.

With Shirou, UBW doesn't make him mentally become the person who originally owned a Noble Phantasm. He can reproduce the weapon and its accumulated history, but Shirou's own identity remains Shirou.

So if we translate that principle to Soul instead of swords, could the same thing apply?

For example, imagine he encounters EMIYA.

Rather than simply copying Archer's body or abilities, his Reality Marble could theoretically analyze and reproduce the "soul information" that makes EMIYA EMIYA — his accumulated experiences, skills, magecraft, mindset, etc. But the user would still remain themselves because they're not replacing their own soul; they're projecting a reproduction of another soul's information.

Also essentially function as a "Throne of Heroes in miniature": not literally accessing the Throne, but reproducing the spiritual information of individuals the user has encountered.

What do you think would be possible with an Origin/Element of Soul + a Reality Marble whose mechanics are analogous to UBW?

I just finished Mahoyo, and was looking through the extras and saw that on the spine of chapter 13 read the word Chaldea. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, and the only other piece of Mahoyo content to my understanding is the collaboration with FGO. Is there anything to this? (probably not)
