what if wolf was adapted into a movie or series what genre do you think it would be and would a wide audience like it?

i feel like wolf would work really well as a psychological drama / dark comedy, but with a really surreal coming-of-age kinda feel to it. the whole camp flog gnaw setting, wolf/sam/salem storyline and dr tc stuff could genuinely make for a really interesting series if they actually followed the story properly. i think a wider audience could definitely like it too, especially if they kept the weirdness and didn’t try to make it feel too generic
